This is the same coach that went 2 and 5 down the stretch of the regular season?
Yea he's better than saban . Just ignore the 2 BCS trophies he has.

Time.....it's needed. He has just begun his coaching career as a HC.
Nobody was calling Saban the greatest of all time when he was getting arse raped by UAB.......

Time......is something you don't get in the sec.

The point.....you're missing it.
My point is that nobody knows how Chizik will turn out as a HC ultimately. This is why I used tricky little words like "may" when saying he "may" end up better than Saban. We just don't know.....there is always somebody better getting ready to take the stage in every endeavor.....
So far, so good though....he outpaced Tuberville using the same players from 2008....

It's the first time since Shug's tenure that everybody is on one sheet of music.
And what exactly did this unity get you during this time?

Shug was a gentleman and put up with far more than I would have....I'll leave it at that.

No, some of us expect more out of a football coach than wins....we also expect them to behave with class and not, for example, rant and rave about "commitment" while displaying no understanding of the term in his own life....
For all any of us know Chizik will end up being as good as Saban. He was a part of back to back undefeated seasons as a DC, so we already know he understands defense as well as Saban. Probably better actually as Saban is pretty basic and seems to just operate off of the "out-talent them" page of the coaching manual.
Right now I think the difference in the two is that Chizik has just begun his career as a head coach.
Look us up in 15 years and we'll revisit the subject.
This. Chizik is doing it right and representing us well. He will get the players. He is the type of man a parent will want influencing their kids for four years of college.

Would that be a vague cheating accusation? Are you NativeTiger or IronTiger? GMAFB

I just read on al.com where the University of Alabama has a guy working for the athletic department who was nailed at UCF for cheating ....ended up being one of the guys who got the football program there on 2 years probation according to the article I read.
Does this mean Saban is now a cheater since we are apparently going with a guilty by association school of thought?

Even in our darkest hour, which was a years-long hour, I never pinned my hopes on other teams having NCAA problems. Well, maybe Tennessee.
