LSU fans trying this hard to convince others that Tua is average is the content I'm here for. Thank you.

He's not average by any means. His accuracy is nuts. That doesn't mean he hasn't benefited for a complete dogshit schedule his 2 years as a starter.

2018:
Louisville
Arky St.
Ole Miss
Aggy
ULL
Arkansans
Mizzou
UT
LSU
State
Citadel
Aub
UGA
OU
Clemson (where Tua looked awful)

2019:
Duke
New Mexico St.
USCe
USM
Ole Miss
Aggy
UT
Arkansas
LSU
State
West. Carolina
Auburn
Michigan

So, yes. Like I said, slightly above average when you remove his stats vs cupcakes.

What will your comment be when he's drafted in the 1st round of the NFL draft?..I can hear it now. "Those stupid NFL scouts don't know shite about football talent!

Tua has not consistently hit revivers in tight spaces while getting pressured in the pocket. Some of it relates to his receivers being wide as open and some to the lack of pressure most schools put on him. There is a reason he lost to LSU and Clemson the last two seasons. He missed small windows and could not handle the pressure. Frankly, LSU put decent pressure on him in 2018 and forced him into some poor throws and sacks. LSU just didn’t have the offense to capitalize.

Joe has hit receivers while getting hammered by defenses. He has never been hurt despite taking some big shots from multiple teams. He has evaded the pass rush to the point where his rush for first down percentage is the highest amongst all players in college football. This is a subjective opinion, but there are many data points and knows on Joe that suggest he is and will be the better QB. I live Tua and he has more pure talent than anyone in the draft, but so did several other high QB picks. Durability, accuracy and performing when you know you will be hit are the three things you have to be able to succeed at to be THE MAN in the NFL.

I guess you forgot the comeback victory against Georgia in the Nat'l Championship game, huh?
You’re having to point to a game that he didn’t even start from his freshmen year

That should tell you something.

(And he completed like 50% of his passes and threw a pick in one half of that game - and another easy pick was dropped.)

Look man, I understand that you’re disappointed in how his career went. But it happens. I member feeling the same way about Brandon Harris.

He's only the all time most efficient passer since they started tracking it. The bullshite you guys spew undermines any valid point you may have.

That UCF cheap shot in Dec. 2018 on Joe was scary. That was the worst shot he took and even he didn't pop right back up like he usually did. But UCF paid for their mistake after that... To the the tune of a (then) record 394 yards passing and 4 TDs. A small precursor of things to come in 2019. :)
Joe got rocked many times over the last 2 seasons and popped right back up. In the Clemson game Skalski(sp?) tore Joe's rib cartilage (Joe said something to that effect after the game) and Joe played with no problem. Couldn't even tell.

FIFY

Top 5 Highest Career Passer Eff vs Year-End AP Top 25 Teams - Since 2000
1. Joe Burrow: 167.6
2. Sam Bradford: 167.4
3. Baker Mayfield: 163.8
4. Tim Tebow: 163.2
5. Andrew Luck: 163.1

Tuna wasn't even top 5 when the going got tough.

He was phenomenal vs cupcakes or in garbage time, however.

Bama homer, dumbass, bucky brooks (who??), on why he ranked Tua above joe:

"Iunno, I jus think he betta."

Joe is better, he proved it on the field. Period. If you think otherwise, homerism doesn't even cover that idiocy. Best qb in college history.

My entire argument is with the fools who are calling Tua an average or below avg. QB. I'm not arguing who the better QB is between Tua and Burrows. I'll leave that to the professionals who know a helluva lot more about what it takes to succeed at to be THE MAN in the NFL.
