NFL is boring AF. How is this product so popular
I've no idea why it supplanted major college rivalries for Turkey Day viewing.

Because more people watch it

Dude is a master of doing frick all when I have a WR on bye and need him to fill the slot and pops off when I don't need him
I haven't done it lately, but when I was still playing fantasy football I was mostly doing "best ball" leagues on Yahoo so you don't have to worry about this crap. It automatically takes your best lineup and uses it.
Also there were no trades or wavier wire. So you would draft and never touch your team again. You'd get more spots than normal because of injuries etc. So you'd carry 3 or 4 QBs etc. But then each week you'd get the points of which ever player did the best.
It was great for me because I'd often forget to update my lineups. And it fricking sucks when some dude gets injured or has a bad day. I'd draft about 5+ teams a year and then never touch them again and still win $$.

That was better than the game

The Saints/Rams no call cured me of my NFL addiction.

College football was the greatest regular season in sports. Now it's like the NFL where you can lose multiple games and it doesn't mean shite.
Follow another sport then. Still in here talking about it all the time and also telling us all how awful it is.

They just blew a false start, timeout call.
Very few times do they mess up like that. It's in almost every game played in college.

Or I can hope the sport I've been watching for 50 years realizes it's mistakes and fixes it. Because it wasn't too long ago it was in it's prime.
Otherwise it will indeed eventually go the way of Nascar. People would say the same crap back then too, and now they struggle with views.
The way it actually works is people slowly lose interest over time. In the past I watched tons of games, now I watch 3 a week at most, sometimes just 1 or 2. I use to watch all the TV shows, now I never watch any of them.
The big games are going to continue to bring in bigger numbers while the smaller games will keep dropping off more and more. And that'll creep on up. They keep trying to compensate for it already.

Former Ohio State Buckeye Jameson Williams just scored!
It's wild that there was so much WR talent at OSU that a great player like Williams had to transfer to get playing time

Other than the woke bs, NFL is the best pro sport.
It is very competitive and it is the highest level of football. Amazing athletes.
The first time I went to an NFL game in person I was absolutely amazed a the product on the field. I grew up going to SEC games and thought it was basically the same thing. Yeah, it is not.
My first trip to an NBA game was a crazy revelation as well.
NFL salary cap makes it so good.

Agreed. The product is technically much better from a player talent and execution standpoint. But it's so cheesy and...procedural. college football has piss and vinegar, soul.

I like both...but I love Football so I may be biased..

Nobody is losing interest. If by fixing, you mean players not getting paid to play, the ship has sailed.
It's okay that you don't like it.
You continue to say it's awful. If I see an awful movie, I don't watch it again.
If I'm reading an awful book, I just put it down and stop wasting my time.
I don't think it's as awful as you are making it out to be. You're still here.

I'm with you.
Those of us who love football find it hard to get away from the NFL, which is peak football.

False, I've lost most of my interest and I'm not alone. Again, it starts with how much you consume. This idea it's an on/off switch is just you coping.
By fixing I mean they've expanded the playoffs in order to allow more teams in because viewership and interest have been in constant decline for years. By making more teams feel like they are in it for longer, they hope those fans will stay more engaged. And of course, having these games helps a lot with the loss of interest in bowl games.

The product can be good or bad, sometimes pathetic, but some of the athletes playing today are insane. Gibbs, Jacob's, etc

The NFL has the worst play by play guys also. And the officiating at times is actually worse than the college game.
