Cause he can run, right? Must mean he can't throw.
Between Manziel, Bridgewater, Carr, and Bortles, who has the highest completion % for passes thrown over 20 yards?

They have a few DE in the pros that will cut off the running to either side like his game against LSU. He is not that good in the pocket. His average and percent completion is because of his ability to extend plays allowing his wr to get open and sometimes wide open. Not going to happen in pros. A pocket passer like Mett will have better luck in my opinion.

And a lot of the 'play extending' credit that Bridgewater gets is stuff that Johnny does on a regular basis and against better teams.
The difference is Bridgewater extends plays in the pocket and Manziel scrambles outside of it.

He certainly had more than a few plays like that, but if you think that's all he was about you just didn't watch him much. Go to Youtube and watch his highlights (or don't). He delivered A LOT of 20+ yard darts in 2-4 seconds, no scrambling involved.
I honestly don't pretend to know how he'll do in the NFL. I think he'll be great. But we'll see. I just hope he lands on a semi-decent team. Houston would be perfect. St. Louis wouldn't be bad. Jacksonville or Cleveland, uggh. My preference is Dallas as a Dallas fan, but I don't see that happening.

The problem with taking Manziel early in the 1st is the same problem that the Redskins have with Griffin- His talent will translate, but he will be demolished more than once with the way he plays, and then the program is going to be looking at an expensive contract for a guy that won't be able to stay in the game so o speak.
