@ChaseGoodbread: At this point, it's not totally certain McCarron will be the next Alabama player picked. Steen, Hubbard, Norwood, Pagan all in play now.

Cam Newton took over a 2-14 team and lead them to a bye in the playoffs last year. He is the offense. Now they let his top 4 receivers go, a couple starting linemen retire, his running backs are overrated and overpaid, and they will still be damn good because of Cam Newton and the defense.

Pretty sure when you take a QB 1 overall you do so hoping to win some playoff games at some point.
Confirmed bust IMO.

Not if you are the Cleveland Browns or Oakland Raiders.

I'm calling it now -- one of the three (Mett, McCarron/Murray) will turn out to be a total steal for whatever team drafts them in the later rounds.

You are proof the short bus still has passengers...

Alabama is about to have 4 players taken in the 4th.
McCarron highest rated QB left, Hubbard highest rated LB left, Norwood top 3 in WR, Stinson top 3 in DL.
It's gonna happen

I'm starting to wonder which other teams will draft quarterbacks this year. Would be funny if a guy like Hubbard or Pagan goes before AJ.

The lack of any obvious franchise QBs in this draft means teams are going to take their time, I guess. Manziel was picked up because he can put butts in the seats, but the rest are basically projects in NFL terms. I'm betting lots of teams would gladly take any one of them but aren't feeling enough urgency to grab them in the early rounds because they aren't immediate impact players that teams are afraid someone else will snatch them up.
As an ancillary conclusion to that premise, I'm going to guess -- and I'll probably be wrong -- that once the first of that group is taken, the others will be drafted fairly quickly after him.

A lot of experts said Manziel was one of the scariest draft prospects in a long times.
Teams were terrified he was gonna be a huge bust but also terrified that passing on him would end up being a horrible mistake.
I can definitely see him going one extreme or the other.

Besides the jersey and merchandise sales, Cleveland said they sold 1500 season ticket packages last night after drafting Manziel.
That isn't a bad ROI for picking up Hoyer's back up.

He's going to be interesting to watch, especially if Gordon is suspended. Manziel is many things, lots of them good, but dead-eye passer isn't one of them. So they may be relying on him to do a lot of scrambling in the near future.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rams take a QB, but they weren't going to do it until day 3. Bradford is definitely the man this year but if he chokes it up again with all the talent they've given him around him, he might not last much longer.

I would be surprised if Cincy didn't take a QB this draft.

Houston traded their 4th and 5th round picks to Philly, meaning they do not have a pick until the 6th round, meaning outside of McCarron a QB will not likely be available.
So all in on the Mallett trade or gamble at the position next season.

Why in the hell isn't the OP updating the post with the picks? Just wanted to see their name at the top of the board?
