If somehow Freeze get reprieve from NCAA (which is highly unlikely), he would actually be a decent fit. The timeline doesn't makes bc Freeze needs to take multiple years off and will probably be suspended, but his positives as a coach are the type Arky needs.

Freeze is a relatively young, a dynamic recruiter (necessary for Arky to get top tier players), great used car salesman (GOB glad-hander), "a man of faith" xD, and a good offensive coach.

He would have the true believers in NW Arky baptizing him free of his past sins in no time.

Seriously tho, in 5/10 years, hire Hugh.

Plus would Arkansas really can Bielema at this point? I'd assume it'd take another... odd season to make that happen.

They've been in the SEC a quarter of a century and haven't won it. Are they trying to be Kentucky?

Sounds like the razorback fanbase is ready to lynch long and Bert. Who are good candidates for the job? Art Briles, Dan Mullen, Frank Wilson, Butch Davis, Jim Leavitt, Craig Bohl

You can remove my name from that list. I'm perfectly content here in Starkville at the juggernaut I've built that is Mississippi State.

Hail State!

Arkansas won't be replacing Bert this year no matter what. Buyout is too steep. They just won't do it.

You are right... Arkansas wouldn't even offer him the job

Cause they have no shot in hell at getting him. Since Petrino got fired in 2011 Arkansas is 23-28. State has been a better job now for almost a decade.

Mullen has beaten less ranked teams than Bert, and has coached in the conference longer, i dont get the love affair this board has with him

No thanks

Well Starkville is a real shithole getting decent players to go there must take quite an effort.

Why do you think it would be a rebuilding job?

Not his style. Les can provide you some good times if walking into the right situation though.

- Elite returning roster
- Elite proven S&C staff
- Recruiting hot bed
- Rabid 100k stadium for OVs
- Blank check for assistants

Arkansas is not that situation.

Little Rock may be much better than Starkville, I don't know about for a teenage kid though. I mean that honestly so correct me if I'm wrong.

MS has some great players that are used to living in MS too, and with Ole Miss no longer buying them hookers it's an even better time to be there.

Starkville is just a small town. It isn't a shithole were you gotta be concerned about getting murdered or raped (Baton Rouge, Knoxville, Gainesville). Tuscaloosa sucks balls. Plus they aren't signing up to play for Starkville University. MSU is separate from the town of Starkville. If you've ever been there you'd know this. The University is very nice. It's just quiet. Lots of smoking hot girls in a small quiet beautiful area. Life can be a lot worse. Like 3 blocks the wrong way when drunk in Memphis or New Orleans for example.

Dude... I know we played LSU there for years, but let's not go flinging insults at UofA like that.

Why doesn't Craig Bohl get more consideration for a power 5 job? He won big at North Dakota St. and now has Wyoming headed in the right direction. Why the hell didn't Nebraska hire him given his ties there?

Actually Little Rock is a greater shithole. Fayetteville is really nice though.

Speaking of North Dakota State, I wish Arkansas would take a shot with Chris Klieman. The dude has only ever lost four damn games.
