Todd with a hurt arm is still a better passer than Newton healthy.

You'll get to find out won't you?
I sincerely doubt Gus would field a bad QB, so I'm going with Gus over a guy calling himself MagillaGuerilla.

is that their excuse for this past year.

I'm not lining up in the secondary, so no.

He's not a bad QB, but there's a reason John Brantley passed him in '08. He's phenomenal athlete, but has ways to go as a passer...

That's your first mistake...

Really? You mean that 22-year-old Springdale kid actually beat out that USCw freshman for the starting job this year?
I guess my eyes were playing tricks on me...

MagillaGuerilla
Like you guys have been saying about getting your guys at the UA camp coached up by Saban, we feel the same way about Gus.

How are you going to blame Gus for a kid who hasn't played for him for three years? Also, I don't blame anything that ever happened at Arky on Gus. The Nutt factor skews everything.....

I believe he can, but the difference is, Saban isn't expecting them to start day 1, Chiz and Malzahn expect Newton to.
It takes a year for most players to get acclimated to a system, so Auburn will most likely have to go throw "growing pains" next year if Newton starts...

That shouldn't be a problem at all.....this isn't a high school kid who has never been in a similar system. Chris Todd didn't go through spring or summer practice last year and was still ready by the time Fall rolled around.
Newton will be the difference in several wins for us next year. Better get ready or we'll go WDE on that arse! ($1 to cowboy)

Well, seeing as how the only QB we already have who has actually started a game in college is Kodi Burns, I think its safe to say we'll be going through "growing pains" no matter who starts.
I'm mostly happy that he isn't going to MSU, or any other team on our 2010 schedule. Guys like Newton historically rip us to shreds, no matter how little experience they have.

Greg McElroy and JPW didn't go through growing pains, so I don't think Newton will either.
Having a guy who can run adds a lot of wrinkles and alleviates some pressure on the offense to perform the same way it did this year.

Newton is much more talented than JPW and McElroy and has the ability to run if he doesn't see anybody open = better situation at that position than what bama dealt with.
Everything is coming together for us now......

Did you watch the middle 4 games of the season because the first four outside of VT were against less than stellar defenses.

Athletically yes, but as a QB, maybe better than JPW.

How'd that work out for Tyrod Taylor?

Alabama has won 24 straight Regular season games, we have a reason to be confident and cocky. Also we're about 8 days from playing for the National Championship, so why would we be worried about Auburn's QB next year?
We'll prepare for Auburn the two weeks before the game and we'll win our third in a row.
I've never seen a fanbase so worked up due to margin of victory.
