You are fricked up if you are seriously comparing Newton to Tebow. Yeah, yeah...I know you're talking about size, but that don't mean shite.

Oh, and we beat Timmy 32-13 so there goes THAT argument.

Just refreshed my memory, and J. Russell went 22-4 as a full-time starter, with 5500 yards and 53 TDs.

I'd be okay with that.

I'd be happier if he couldnt tell the crimson from the white next yr. and was too stupid to read the signals and defense.

Most 3 year starters put up stats like that. Around 2000 and 17 TDs is around average...

Those were his stats from 2005-06. I didn't include his 2004 totals since he wasn't the fulltime starter.

He threw for 5500 yards and 53 TDs in 26 games. That's about 220 yards and 2 TDS per contest. That would put him in the top 3 QBs in the SEC pretty much any year.

If Newton is anywhere near that I'd be pretty happy. Right now I'm just glad we have another option, because the guys we have on campus already don't exactly thrill me.

If Todd is still there(I dont know if he is a senior) Newton may not beat him out for the starting job just because Todd has a year running what seems to be a difficult offense to run.

Todd leaves, he has graduated and used up all of his eligibility.

Confucius say: Just because an offense is difficult to stop doesn't mean it is difficult to run....
