The vector symbol can be a lot of things, it just depends on what force you're talking about. Like a velocity vector will be a V with an arrow above it.

When it comes to logos I think simpler is better and the ribbon on the m state logo adds too much IMO. That's the best way to describe it I guess, I just don't like it for some reason.
