More like being blinded by the measurables. Size, arm, and speed to kill. Instinct and being self-aware in the pocket, not so much.

LSU being pre ranked in the top 10 is really sickening. That is going to go from being a top 10 team to being an unranked team by the end of this season.

Milroe has about 10% less talent than Anthony Richardson but 100% more production and 200% more durability.

Richardson still went where he did. Some NFL folks think they can work magic which is literally what it would take to get AR to play 75% of a season.

Milroe hates contact and avoids it at all costs, so it's not easy to tell if he's durable or not for a running QB, especially against NFL defenders. He's just not a very instinctive runner like Daniels or Lamar Jackson. And when he does get hit, there's a 50% chance he'll fumble the ball away.

Whoever takes him third overall is drafting that high for making the same sort of bad decisions taking a guy like Jalen Milroe would be.

Awareness is certainly his flaw.

Bama fan's too.

People that think its only up from Milroe are delusional. He is a top 5 NFL pick. Yeah Thorne had comparable or better passing numbers this season but Milroe was also your best rushing attack.

His QB rooms certainly looked good but not nearly as talented as before. And then losing Sayin afterwards was another hit.

Going from Jalen to Tua to Mac to Bryce really spoiled you heifers.

Some NFL scout is going to look at him and think, "With NFL-level coaching he can be taught to read a defense, and that level of athleticism is something you have to be born with." I don't know what it is with Milroe. He won the Academic Heisman so he's clearly not dumb. And he apparently does all the right stuff in practice so he must be coachable. Sometimes it seems like he freaks out under pressure, but other times he seems cool as ice. Sometimes he seems like he wants to be Mr. Do-Everything on the field, and others it seems like he shies away from contact. He's strong but easy to tackle. He's fast but not a great runner unless the field is wide open. One game he will embarrass the best defense in the country and the next he will look like someone just taught him the game right before the team came out of the tunnel. He's been an incredibly frustrating player to watch QB my team because he is so consistently inconsistent. I wish him all the best in the NFL and if some team thinks he is worth a first-round pick then I'm happy for him. I hope he turns out to be an All-Pro but I just don't see it.

It’s a bold pick based on potential.

It will either work or not.

Very high risk.

This QB class is weaker than last year.

They already have Justin fields, who is a better version of Milroe. Drafting Milroe would be fricking stupid

The Steelers seem to be showing some interest in him.

This is BS. They got that information from Milroe himself or someone from his family.
Milroe is not being drafted in the 1st round much less the top 5. LOL!
Most idiots just go by some internet hype. They've heard Milroe runs a ____40 and he's bigger than Babe the Blue Ox. They expect Milroe to blow it up at the combine with some kind of insane measurables. That's where all of this hype is coming from.
Most "legitime" sources don't have him going in the first round.

Question: What happens when his combine numbers aren't up to expectation? Let's say he runs a 4.5ish 40, he doesn't do well in the white board meetings, Wonderlich is lower than expected and he's 6'1" and 215 lbs.

They're not drafting him. Somebody asked them and they said nice things. Do we really think they would say "No that guy sucks arse and will never be an NFL QB!" LOL.

For a running back. He will also be expected to read a defense, which he hasn't shown the capacity to do very often.

But maybe someone out there looks at Lamar Jackson (who's a 2x MVP) and thinks they can build an offense around him.

Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels were Heisman winners who had showed the ability to produce at an extremely high level when they were drafted. Milroe hasn't come close to producing at that level. Production has to count for something. At some point you have to say the kid just doesn't have it between the ears. He has bust written all over him.

I would not draft him either, but all it takes is one team to decide he’s worth the risk.
