New Arkansas Coach Pregame Thread

The CFB world has been on the edge of its seats, waiting to see who Arkansas chooses to fill the biggest job that came open this cycle. With Saban entering the last leg of his career, Mullen leaving the West, Ole Miss with sanctions, LSU with O, and AU and A&M chained to monster contracts for above average coaches, Arkansas is in position to make a move that should be resulting in division titles in the not too distant future.
For its last two hires, Arkansas took Petrino away from the Atlanta Falcons and Bielema away from the back to back to back Big 10 Champs.
Will Arkansas continue this trend of stealing elite, established coaches? Or perhaps change it up and take a little bit of a gamble on an up and comer (Norvell/Morris) or a proven guy who's looking for that next step up (Leach/Kiffin)? Maybe it's time to follow the lead of UGA and Bama and think defense (Venables). Whatever the decision is, it will be sure to rock the SEC and change the landscape of CFB as we know it.

Leach would be a 7 win a year coach. He can't recruit for shite.
Kiffin is a gamble, his offense looks good because it's his OF Briles and not his

This is some solid pre-game analysis.
We haven't "gambled" on an up-and-comer in 20 years. This is exciting.

Kiffin is a gamble, but not because of his offense.

Kiffin ain't coming. Fun fact, though. Kiffin lived in Fayetteville as a child while his dad worked for Lou Holthz.

I'm expecting ESPN to launch a 30 for 30 on this hire. It will reverberate across the nation.

Don't quite get people's fascination with. To overlook his many, many character and leadership flaws, I would want him to have much more previous success.

I've got LSU and Alabama friends, texting me every 20 minutes for updates. I've never had either group openly saying they were scared like this.

At any rate, I'd stay away from Mike Norvell. I mean, y'all don't want to hire a coach that can't even win the measly AAC, do you? Surely you can strive for higher than that with your next coach.

I'm exhilarated, stimulated and titillated - patiently (not at all) waiting!!
