Go look at what they did vs 3 win Arizona State.

Insert LSU excuse "but he didn't have the talent there he'll have here."

Being a bandwagon Bama fan yourself, aren’t you ever curious about what life as a Bama fan was like before Saban won his first of 5 Bama nattys? Have you ever expressed regret for not following Bama football pre 2009?

Not a bit. Like all LSU fans, I just jumped on board when Saban was hired. You know what I mean.

It's true in both cases, I don't disagree with you.

The Kelly and Deboer hires have a lot of similarities.

I don’t know what you mean. Please explain.

Not sure if your analysis is right or not, but a former successful program falling on their face is actually deservedly going to get a lot of attention.

We love to watch successful people/programs falter.

Goodness, pedantic tiger and the other LSU trolls ran like a scalded dog from this thread once some facts were introduced.

Oh good. Perhaps now you'd care to address the 1st point I made about Saban and Kelly's 1st two seasons trending in opposite directions. Since you like to bring them up a lot.

They didn't "trend" in opposite directions, Early.

Didn't they?

Saban started bad in year 1 and got better year 2.

Kelly started pretty decent in year 1 and got worse in year 2 (at least by ranking in the SEC).

Wrong, try again. Saban came close to winning the SEC his 2nd year.

Meh, both coaches finished with less losses in their second season than they had in their first.

Also ranked higher at the end of the year.

That isn't "trending" in the opposite direction.

Finishing with fewer losses because you failed to make your conference championship game in the second year is not an improvement.

One of them went undefeated in the regular season and just missed out on playing for the national title.

One of them lost to Ole Miss.

Guess which one is which?

You just can't help being a disingenuous little shite, can you?

Making the conference title game last year was a negative on this board, muh BK got beatdown in the postseason again.

Now he loses less games but it's still a negative because he didn't make the conference title game.

This board isn't actually interested in honest arguments so if we're all going to shitpost, then let's really shitpost.
