Meanwhile DeBoer coached in the title game a few weeks ago in only his 2nd year at Washington

Kelly did it in his 3rd year at Notre Dame with a less talented team than DeBoer (per On3).

Both got dominated.

Congratulations on hiring a younger BK.

This.

Everyone has considered Bama to be the Gold Standard in football for years. One bad loss and all of a sudden the entire fanbase forgets about it and has a complete meltdown.

Never in my life have I seen a team so successful yet have so my crybabies simultaneously. If OM just had one year like the typical Bama season, I'd be content for a while.

Even if that were true, that bodes very poorly for LSU considering burger king isn't getting any younger and DeBoar can dominate LSU for decades.

You're taking a lot of L's in this thread.

And beat Texas in the semifinal game with that Pac12 team

Thats 1 game. Not an entire conference schedule. Most agree that Washington would not have had that success in the Big10 or the SEC. Washington just had a good day against Texas.

Ole Miss beat Bama in 2014, and yall won the national championship. Everyone including me would agree that Bama was still a better team than OM that year. Ole Miss just got lucky.

It was the best possible matchup for Washington.

Their elite passing offense vs Texas' trash tier passing defense and Washington still nearly choked it away at the end.

Washington only played one decent passing defense this season and got dominated in that game.

Every HC in the conference will look across the field and see Karen instead of tGoat and smile with increased confidence.

Sounds like Bama will hang another 50 burger on LSU then this year considering LSUs pass defense was lower than Texas.

ETA hang it up son, you've been completely bitch slapped ITT.

Waiting for you to realize your coach actually has a girl's name. No need to make one up.

That's probably true if LSU gives 260 yards passing again this season and if DeBoer can find another quarterback.

Doesn’t bode well since LSU defense is worse than Texas

100% agree with this. Also Washington had to get a last second field goal to beat 5-7 Washington State in the last game of the regular season.

That "Elite passing offense" was only able to put up 22 points against a 5 win squad. The Huskies struggled in that game.

Kelly has demonstrated he can lose an average of 3.5 games per year at LSU and 0 titles, not even sniff the playoffs

If that’s what you take from those 2 seasons, then sure! The likelihood of DeBoer coaching at Bama in 2026 is still at 0%

Didn't need another quarterback to crush LSU and their Heisman QB last year.

Go look at what they did vs 3 win Arizona State.

Spoiler: They didn't even score an offensive touchdown.

Considering LSU gave up 6 rushing TD's to Bama (4 from the QB), maybe worry about stopping the run first.

DeBoer doesn't run the ball much. I don't believe he's ever had a team that finished in the top 90 of rushing offenses.

Sounds like a home run hire, except that would at least be 4 points. Just Sayin'. Oh wait...he gone too.
