Big brother LSU is going to the big, bad Bruin's house to get your little pimp stick back for you.
You're welcome.

You're welcome.

Yeah, I melted after that dam game
That signified the end of Sumlin

Appreciate it, baw!
That was downright embarrassing and infuriating to watch. Sumlin simply had to bleed the clock just a little on every play to make it impossible for UCLA to come back but he couldn’t even figure that out. Stuck a true freshman QB in there and ran a hurry up offense.
Watched that game on a TV run by an oil field generator, outside at a friend’s house which had survived Hurricane Harvey with destroyed houses all around us in Holiday Beach, TX. Holiday Beach took a direct hit from that storm. It was a surreal environment. I’ll never forget it.
Get afta dat arse, Tigahs!!!

I look at that game as a blessing in disguise as well. After that game Sumlin was done. The Kyle/Kyler mess had him on the ropes but that game turned the tide and made it clear he was not going to get us over the hump so we nutted up big and got Jimbo.

Even after that game, Chin Pubes and his cult were saying that Sumlin could still save his job and that the "haters need to chill".
Only after embarrassing back to back home losses to Mississippi State (35-14) and Auburn (42-27) was there no hope left for his ball lickers.

It must be a texas thing to hire very immature coaches

That game ended Sumlin. Absolute dumbest play calling and game management ever seen.

3rd quarter - A&M gets the ball at 2:06, up 44-17.
2nd down and 9 - ball snapped at 6 seconds. (5 seconds given)
3rd down and 4 - ball snapped at 4 seconds. (3 seconds given) - incomplete Pass (37 seconds left in the quarter.
UCLA gets the ball back in the 3rd quarter instead of 1 minute into the 4th)
4th quarter - A&M gets the ball at 13:17, up 44-24.
2nd down and 9 - incomplete pass (40+ seconds given)
1st down and 10 - ball snapped at 14 seconds (13 seconds given)
2nd down and 5 - ball snapped at 17 seconds (16 seconds given), Mond sacked
4th quarter - A&M gets the ball at 8:12, up 44-31.
1st down and 10 - ball snapped at 5 seconds (4 seconds given), incomplete pass (40+ seconds given)
1st down and 10 - ball snapped at 10 seconds (9 seconds given)
2nd down and 3 - ball snapped at 12 seconds (11 seconds given)
3rd down and 4 - PASS PLAY CALLED FROM UCLA 16, MOND IS SACKED FOR A LOSS OF 10 FORCING A FIELD GOAL BY THE PUNTER, WHO MISSES
4th Quarter - A&M gets the ball with 3:03 remaining, up 44-38. UCLA has 2 timeouts
At this point, just by simply snapping the ball with 1 second left on the play clock each play the clock would have read 2:02. Factor in the irresponsible pass play at the end of the 3rd (37 seconds) and the clock would have read 1:25. With only 2 timeouts left, A&M would have been able to either run out the clock at this point or force a hail mary with < 4 seconds left.
UCLA calls timeout after 1st down
2nd and 8 - INCOMPLETE PASS (UCLA saves timeout and 40+ seconds)
3rd and 8 - Mond sacked - UCLA timeout
By stupidly calling a pass play here, A&M gives UCLA another 40-42 seconds. Had the snap count been managed properly, there's now 1:20 left on the clock going into the punt. The punt takes 6 seconds, which would have given UCLA 1:14 with no timeouts on their final drive from their 34.
The clock read 2:39 when UCLA started their final drive. Their winning score happened with 46 seconds to go.

If LSU gets that stick back, they need to bring it home and paint it RED.

I thought I saw someone do the math where if we had literally taken a knee every play for the 2nd half of the game, we would've won. This is why I don't mind Jimbo's slower tempo if it can guarantee a win.

I think OP was expecting another reaction but a LSU win would be appreciated.
That loss started the ball rolling by the Big Money Ags (BMA's) and Sumlin was dead man walking.
Our only request is do not let your coach screw this up.

Hurricane Harvey
Dealing with the aftermath of the hurricane made it substantially easier for me to get over / ignore this brutal loss. Gave me a lot of perspective and had me focused on other things in life more important than college athletics at the time.
Also helped get Sumlin out of Aggieland.
Anyway, Geaux Tigahs! F the Bruins
