ND would have a worse conference record than Bama if they were in the SEC. Committee was correct in not punishing Alabama for making their conference championship game. ND schedule outside if the opening two weeks was a joke. Bama’s was not

Not good enough to make the playoffs. ND’s schedule strength was worse last year than this year. They beat an injured Georgia team in the playoffs, sure, but ND typically gets everything in their favor, and they don’t even play in a conference.

It was all about ACC representation. If VA had won, Bama would have slipped one slot and ND would have been in. No way the ACC with its conference weakness gets in two teams.
