The more I thought about it the more my head spun in circles. Not even sure where to start

I understand why many don't like it.

I won't support athletes having their own dorm, full well knowing those dorms will probably be 5 times nicer than any other on campus.

And blaming dorms for athletes issues is flat retarded. One, if the athlete gets in trouble, it's nobody's fault but his own. Two, dorms have jack shite to do with DUIs, stealing, cop beating, poor grades, etc.

it's true man...it's bullshite that 90% of the teams in college football have a 0% chance of winning the National Championship.

Yes, dumbass, the draft works so well that the top 5 NFL teams have won 52% of all Super Bowls.

I think there should be a player draft as well
If players can decline when they get pick than we are back to square one and that defeats the purpose of the draft doesn't it?
Oh and what happens to the one's that are poor?

Agree, but it makes a coaches job easier to contain them if they are all in the same place

there's a lot more equality in the NFL. The last place team can beat the best team any week.

I would say let them play for another school without a scholarship or Division IAA.

I'm actually more for cutting the scholarships down to 53 per team.

I also don't know how I feel about the transfer rules, knowing athletes will jump ship at an astounding rate.

But at the same time, if coaches can drop them, why can't the players drop teams.

I think a four year commitment from both sides is more appropriate, with stipulations for HCs leaving, player conduct, grades, etc. But that doesn't help thinning out the rule book. But I feel like the bulk of that is in player benefits and recruiting.

If that's the case, the NCAA may as well just come out and say they don't really give a shite about student athletes or their education.

Letting a kid play immediately who transfers in is a bad idea.

It would be like a free agency.

Say Mississippi State has a BADASS Safety. Well Bama needs a Safety because their best one just graduated. Then Bama calls Miss States badass safety and gives him a sales pitch. He transfers to Bama and plays right away.

That would be fricked up.

I would be in favor of allowing transfers to play right away. Especially for situations involving head coaching changes.

Transfer rules could wreak major havoc on a lot of different things.

I undertand that it sucks that the players lose a year to move, but otherwise there would be players swapping schools left and right. I personally am a big hater of the rule that Masoli, Wilson etc. have used to transfer and not sit.

Wouldn't that be a big time violation? I know it probably wouldn't matter and would happen anyways, just curious. I think they should be more lenient in letting them play for hardship. Brandon Williams transferred from OU to A&M only because of his child but has to sit out. Cases like that I think should allow them to play right away, as well as coaching changes.

Does this thread have anything to do with AU being in the running with MSU for 5th place in the west?

they already don't...a lot of students can't major in hard subjects because they have to focus on football. plus some majors have majority of their classes in the evening which might interfere with practice time.

I'm not saying the NCAA has been doing everything right, but there's a big difference between having to figure out scheduling and not being able to go to the college you want.
