WTF? What's with moving games to Monday and Tuesday? Why not start the first round on a Thursday like usual (and the Sweet 16 for that matter).
I get they trying to consolidate it, but seems like some of these changes don't really accomplish anything other than being different.

I think it has to do with the logistics of the All-Indianapolis setup.

I guess so, but I don't get how starting the Sweet 16 on a Saturday helps that. Why not start it on the 25th so you can still have that whole series of games (Sweet 16 and Elite 8) on the weekend?

First Four is usually on Tuesday and then the First Round is Th/Fr and Second Round Sat/Sun.
Now the First Four is Thursday, First Round Fri/Sat, Second Round Sun/Mon. Sweet 16 Sun/Mon, Elite 8 Tue/Wed (instead of Thr/Fri and Sat/Sun).

I kinda like having those 16 games in one day on a Friday/Saturday for the 1st round.
