What the heck is going on in here? I go to work for a few hours on a Monday, and I return home to this.
I'm not reading 11 pages. I read the article. Anyone else got any insight other than what BM reported?

If this were happening at Alabama, I would absolutely be uneasy. Even if it's nothing... Having the news reporting two different investigations within a few days would have me paranoid they were looking for something specific, or that they knew something. Especially since a coach tied to one is tied to the other. Again, I don't think it's anything, but yikes.
I read the article... I was a little curious about what exactly it was aside from generally switching schools that made them think a trip to Atlanta was necessary. And before people start saying REC this and REC that, people tattle on people all the time and the NCAA ignores it. It's not REC.

Is it starting to look like someone intends to make a point? Yep.
Without getting into the finer points of why, and we all know why, it'd be nice if they could just satiate themselves on our hoops team and call it a day. I'd rather say, yea we're on probation with scholarship reduction, than go out there and get our asses handed to us by teams on probation with schoalrship reductions and have no excuse.

By the way, our coaching staff feels like they know that Auburn paid for Rueben, but one of the support staffers told me that they weren't intending on turning them in.
As I posted a few weeks ago... Mutually Assured Destruction.
No program is clean. No program is stupid enough to turn another one in. I can't speak for boosters, though.
ETA: And Alabama's list of transgressions is a mile high... although they don't include purchasing houses or making $180,000 payments to players or their families and churches.

"___________ didn't know" got serious play during the Cam thing...and probably will during the Javon thing. From an outsiders perspective, it sure seems like someone in that administrative body has an axe to grind. Like telling a dude who skated on a distribution charge to sell his flashy car because the LEO's will be out for blood...

Na, I am not UPset.
Anyways, good debate sir. Well done. I see what you are saying now. I was not trying to turn the Rueben Foster thing into a Cam Newton redux. Somehow it ended up that way. I originally tried to compare the Rueben Foster investigation into a parallel of the AJ Green fiasco of ours. Sometimes the NCAA find things that ended up being violations you never thought would be a violation at the time, that is all.

Something to think about:
He was committed to another school when he moved. Did that other university try to place him in another high school other than Auburn High... like Foley or somewhere "friendly" to that university? What info will RF's mom have for the investigators about that?
