It's pretty routine for the NCAA to enquire about high profile recruits. What's not common is for their meetings with recruits to be tipped off to reporters. I've done some checking and have no reason to believe Auburn has done anything wrong in its recruitment of Reuben Foster.

Why? It took Chizik forever to name Cam Newton the starter over Barrett Trotter.

I could understand him doing that a little more since Trotter had been there waiting his turn and all of a sudden Superman shows up on campus and Chizik probably didn't want to dash Trotter's dreams altogether.

So, someone in the NCAA has a red arse for AU. That should be reassuring for AU fans.

Could also mean that he's waiting as long as possible so Mosely doesn't transfer and leave one scholarship QB, a TFR, on the roster. Need a back-up.

ding ding ding, they're on a witch hunt to find something that sticks. Good luck to them

I wouldn't be so cavalier if I were you. I don't think there is anything for AU to worry about, but the if the NCAA truly were on a "witch hunt" they could find something at any school in America. If they want to find something and are looking at the full scope of things (not just one isolated instance i.e. Cam, Ttown Menswear, etc) then they'll find something at every school.

Also, to the Bama fan that said "i'd be worried if I was an AU fan", the better way to phrase that is "i'd be worried if this was happening at Bama". The way you phrased it seems like a flame (which it probably was). When you are making it about your own team it seems more of a true statement of opinion.

Just my two cents.

This really is the most disturbing part. And if, like NBama suggested, someone is tipping the media as part of an effort to draw more attention to it from inside the NCAA, it would be a cause for concern.

it's a typo. You'll get over it. I will make plenty more.

The reason it doesn't pertain to auburn is becuase what auburn and th ncaa agreed was that cecil shopped his kid to another school, if they had done it with auburn and we had then signed his arse we would have gotten hammered. It's not that far removed to where you shoudl remember that this was the exact reason auburn skated on an otherwise eligibility destroying event.

*prays it's typo free to not upset you.*

One can only go draw from the well so many times before it runs dry. Will shite come of this? Nope. Is it starting to look like someone intends to make a point? Yep.
