Because teams coming off of a national championship season needs to pay players to come there.

Ok.. I'm going to just try to pull a few comments from Slive:

Does the NCAA’s investigation of Cam Newton and his father, Cecil, remain open? MS: You’re going to have to ask them, but nobody has written me a letter that says it’s over.

Combine that with other things atated and now the NCAA asking even more questions....

What else was there to say that matters? He stated that he has not gotten anything stating that "it's over"
That's the's point.. nothing more, nothing less!
Now the NCAA is asking questions in LA about a player who was "FLASHING" money after a trip to Auburn.
The point is, it's not over.

quote:Whoever is the coach at Thibodaux will need the community support to fund the program. The annual 2 day golf tourney raises 25K-30K for the football program and is 99.9% LSU fans/alum/lettermen playing in that event and they expect the players with LSU offers to play for LSU... It's called a feeder school. That's how it is when the high-school is an hour down the road and everyone knows everyone.
If I'm an LSU fan, I'm not sure I would be thrilled with the media and NCAA sniffing around Thibodaux. You better make sure Lorio has his closets cleaned 'cause there's no doubt which school he funnels recruits to or the lengths that he will go to for that.
Actually, I'm surprised Nelson isn't having trouble living in Thibodaux when it is known he is a runner for Auburn and in with Troopah. He can claim to be a mentor all he wants but when every other word out of your mouth is an f-bomb it's hard to believe he is representing a church. Also, why does he only ferry the kids he is mentoring to Auburn? The bottom line is that dude is a street agent and I have heard from other people in Arkansas that Auburn has the same tactic working there.

probably because most people (including slive) think he was only referring to the re-instatement of Cam
But if you're sure the investigation is over I'd have to think you could get excellent odds on that in vegas
