Dang, they couldn’t put any of the three 6:00 games on the SECN?
Makes zero sense. They are also showing re-runs of the Ole Miss and LSU baseball documentaries in the middle of the day today. I loathe tv networks.

Yup, meanwhile the ACCN can show their games.

the ACCN games are the home team..
same for Vandy and Florida on SECN
Florida is the home team @ the Pokes
Virginia is the home team vs State
etc.
(home meaning bats last.. not location)
SC, GA & UK all road teams

Saw a few minutes of Texas’ baseball practice on Monday at the Disch. They looked dialed in imo.

Are you sure about that? Why would the higher seed not be the home team? And why does it say MSU vs UVA and Army vs GT but also UNCW vs UGA and UGA is the road team?

NCAA makes all weather-related decisions in the post-season.

If I remember correctly from last season, you alternate. If you were home last game (we were), you’re road next. Has to do with giving equal opportunity for teams to bat last.

That would make sense. Thanks for answering.

Wonder how that works if the two home (or visiting) teams from the previous round meet?

You’re welcome.
This Old tRant thread explains it a little better. If both teams have been home teams the same number of times it goes to coin toss.

quote:
For the initial regional rounds of the tournament, the higher seeded team is always the home team. Once the initial regional round is completed, the NCAA uses the following three step process:
Step 1) The team has been the home team fewer times during the tournament becomes the home team.
Step 2) If both teams were the home team the same number of times, count the number of times each team was the visiting team during the tournament. The team that was the visiting team more often during the tournament becomes the home team.
Step 3) If both teams were the home team and visiting team the same number of times and the teams met previously during the tournament, the visitor in the immediately preceding game between the two teams becomes the home team.
Step 4) If both teams were the home team and visiting team the same number of times and the teams did not previously meet during the tournament, the team that was the visitor in its most recent, preceding game becomes the home team.
Step 5) If both teams were the home team and visiting team the same number of times, the teams did not previously meet during the tournament, and both teams were the visitor (or home team) in their most recent, preceding game, then the home team is decided by a coin flip.

This is 100% true. OU is away team tonight even though they are 1 seed in their regional. Not sure if they change dugouts or not?
But that really makes no sense to me. If you played hard all year to earn that home field then why would they take any home advantage away? Kinda strange
