I was an officer (ROTC). Were there some ringknockers that lorded it over others? Sure. But they were as liable to catch shite from their fellow academy grads as from us.
(I will say that if there is an officer stereotype out there, it is this: Texas A&M grads were overwhelmingly obnoxious and arrogant. The penis-envy they had for the Annapolis guys was remarkable. If for no other reason, when they join the SEC, I want them to get their asses stomped. {small sample sie, YMMV})

I'm a West Point grad and Navy is obviously our most storied rival. I am also an LSU fanatic. But if Navy was playing LSU, I root for Navy.
That's because I respect what those players have acheived and what they will do as officers.

Id cheer them before and after the game, during the game they understand. This isnt an SEC game, nor a bowl game, nor a BCS game. Cheer them and understand that some of them will do more for this country than you will ever know or understand.
