I am indifferent. He's a great DC but a shitty recruiter.

Not sure if it was tx or him, but he pulled in multiple big time recruits each year he was there.

Is there a local florist? I hate going through FTD.

Thoughts and prayers - it'll be alright.

I thought Merlins was against lateral moves. Going from La. Tech to State is probably closer to a true lateral move than going from State to Florida

Is the DC from Texas that sucked so bad he got fired during the middle of a season?

He's had good defenses everywhere he's been outside of Texas. Not sure why one shitty year defines the guy-especially when that shite show was more at fault to Mack Brown.

That's unbelievable.

MSU must've had some serious position coaches when he was there before. From watching him on the LHN I would say he was in way over his head at Texas. Mack Brown's pussification didn't help him out though...

Actually he had the #6 and 11 in total defense while at Texas. The last year he was there was a partial year and it was a year the he was on the hot seat looking for answers. Just looked it up.

Major recruits came in too.

During the dumpster fire end of Brown's tenure. Diaz has put out good defenses at Mid Tenn, State, and La Tech.

Sips called him Manny _iaz.
Not when they were joking or trying to funny or disrespectful.
They called him that all the time. Like it was his name.

I'd say it looks like Collins took a demotion.

Co-DC, while Randy Shannon got Co-DC and associate HC.
