Only sure wins:
Utah St
Florida Atlantic
Samford
Ole Miss
Toss ups:
@ Clemson -probable loss? Really?
Miss St
Florida-this was not a good team last year and has a completely new staff and schemes...playing in Auburn.
Bama-Bama is replacing a lot on offense and no one knows how this new quarterback will do. It's the Iron Bowl, it's in Auburn, overall talent is closer than it has been in a long time. If I HAD to drop my $ on someone, it would be Bama but this is a toss up.
Probably losses:
@ Arkansas
@ Lsu
@ Georgia
If Auburn loses ALL of their toss ups and doesn't win any of their "probable losses", then yes, they can lose 7 games. I don't see it. The SEC will eventually figure out Malzahn's offense but it hasn't even started to happen. (recall how well the offense did in its first year with Chris friggin' Todd at the helm). Bama keeps thinking they are going to be GREAT because of the incredible talent on the roster "we are reloading, not rebuilding". I don't see how this logic applies to Bama but not Auburn. Auburn has a lot of work to do but you are deluded if you think Auburn doesn't have a wealth of talent coming in.
As far as your comments about how "IF" your Auburn meltdown scenario occurs, how it will somehow solidify the idea that Auburn bought and paid for their championship...again, it looks dumber every time you say. Keep right on doing it. Those that have made up their mind will continue to think so, evidence or not. They don't need support and Auburn cannot PROVE that Cam didn't know and cannot PROVE to their satisfaction that they didn't pay for Cam. There is nothing they can do about those people so they are irrelevant. As time goes on, IF no more evidence comes to light, those that are waiting to see how it actually turns out, will believe that the evidence or lackthereof says they should. You really are grasping at straws suggesting that a team that lost their entire offensive line, heisman winning qb, top 3 WR's, and all kinds of D talent, is guilty of paying players because they fall off the next year.

There was a split title in 1997.

Because 2008 was so long ago. Both teams were even that year....your coaching just sucked and ours was amazing.

True statement
That offense was just completely broken in every way.

I agree with your breakdown.

I think AU will do better than that.

I was thinking the same thing.

2002 Ohio St - 2003 4th 11-2
2003 Lsu - 2004 16th 9-3
2004 USC - 2005 2nd 12-1
2005 Texas - 2006 13th 10-3
2006 Florida - 2007 16th 9-4
2007 Lsu - 2008 unranked 8-5
2008 Florida - 2009 3rd 13-1
2009 Alabama - 2011 11th 10-3
So if history tells us anything, AU should have a great season.
Thanks Hunter!

I believe our bye is before Georgia, but I could be wrong. It will be needed after all those road games.
Eta: never mind. Thought I saw it wrong on the schedule posted above

Granted, one was a win. But that's nothing out of the ordinary offensively speaking that other teams do.

Bama has 17 starters returning. Auburn has 5. Bama had more return last year with tons of road games, like Auburn does this coming year. Bama still lost 3 games with as much or more talent and experience than Auburn will have. The experience and the schedule is what will be destructive to Au this year, imo.

I'm saying it because a team that goes:
5-7
8-5
14-0
and 6-6ish.. looks a might bit funny. Very mediocre to one great season to mediocre just doesn't happen and hasn't in the last 20 yrs at least. Probably further back, but I didn't feel like researching further. Especially when the coach leading them is 13-19 going into that season. Just because I can't see the trash dump when I'm driving by it, doesn't mean it doesn't smell and it's not there.

I've said several times that I think we go 8-4 regular season, and the bowl would be the difference in us being 8-5 or 9-4.

I would be content with this if I were an Auburn fan considering this is a rebuilding year for yall.

Hunter,
Thanks again for your continued interest/obsession with Auburn football. I hope your trolling continues to go well. Please continue hating.

Absolutely. Even if the cupboard wasn't bare, odd years are always a bitch for us when it comes to the schedule. Even numbered years are much better to us because all of the tough teams are at home.

Isn't it funny that he's the only person in this thread saying 4-6 wins? Everyone else is saying 6-9 wins.

I'm actually saying 5 to 7. Everyone else is pretty much saying 8 to 9.
