It wasn't some jab he meant it'll be their biggest game of the year at their place.....and it is.

It is but we destroyed bama twice last year so it’s not such a big deal this year

You beat us by 4 in Tuscaloosa last season in a game that was tied with 60 seconds left.

It's clearly a big deal this year.

Oh, sorry. We forgot Auburn fans think they're a blueblood. After all, AU invented basketball about 4 years ago.

I disagree. A big game and "their Super Bowl" don't really mean the same thing.

There's a lot obviously going into this game but I think more than anything it's that Auburn needs a big signature win to get back in the groove
they aren't on track to fall off the bubble or anything but the schedule is rough and you want to make your statements at home
it's not just a big game it's important for their season righ tnow

Exactly. If it wasn't a jab, he would just say it's our biggest home game of the season, it's important, and the crowd will be nuts. And consider the source. This isn't a "Super Bowl." The tournament is, especially after a Final Four.

He ment to say they don’t have anything else to play for so if they win it would be like their championship.
Or something.
Or something.

Eh maybe it was a troll then

Is Oats just preparing the excuses when we kick that A$$?
The words below are not mine, but said very well.
Here’s Oats, throwing fire onto a rivalry that needs less. Saying it is bigger for one team than the other? Hilarious. And stupid.
But I get it. While Pearl has established the Tigers over the past five years as one of the top programs in the SEC (and sometimes nationally), Oats is still trying to get a fanbase that is more concerned with Nick Saban’s Tide than really supporting their hoops team.
Made sense for Oats to make a football analogy considering many Alabama fans are still trying to take credit for a quarterback they helped run off.
But Auburn has been here before, and Pearl is no stranger to big games. He’s coached in the Final Four. He’s won championships. He even had a game worthy of Super Bowl talk when he was at Tennessee, and the Volunteers faced off against Memphis in a matchup of No. 1 vs. No. 2.

He’s triggered SOG lol. He must not know Alabama’s been here before. We’ve beaten multiple top ten teams in the past two years alone.
