your point overall makes sense and I dont disagree completely

But one thing I am not sure about here In this quoted section is if he’d be fully embraced by lsu fans as a whole

I get a sense a lot of them might’ve objected to him coming from Lafayette so I am not sure if he would’ve been welcomed with wide open arms by everyone

I don't think I'd ever seen an LSU fan say anything positive about BK before he was hired.

Maybe Napier would have sucked at LSU too and his improvements at Louisiana were a fluke. But he took a team that was struggling to make bowl games (and didn't most years, like 1 or 2 in 10 years or some shite) to making the conference championship all 4 years here was there(winning 2 of them) and 3 10+ win seasons, 3 out of 4 bowl wins and finished ranked in the top25 his last 2 years there.

I see a guy who came into a broken program and took them to successful levels. Granted, he wasn't playing the toughest of schedules, but still the same type of schedules the school was playing before him.

But now he goes to Florida and suddenly becomes a shite coach? It's possible, but I'm not closing the door on him yet.

One peek over into Athens and you know that isn’t true. Kirby is practically running a work release program and they’re kicking everybody’s arse.

Napier doesn't deserve any break. Either have a winning season or pack your bags.

Napier won with better talent there. At UF he is getting smoked by equal or better talent and losing to less talent regularly. FL can't even compete against decent teams on the road with Napier so far.

Does FL have a respected hardass coach on staff who can take over mid-season and start turning the culture around?
Ron Robert’s?

Napier has already made him “Executive Head Coach of Defense” while his protege Austin Armstrong is defensive coordinator

Your AD department is giving your fanbase the middle finger.

Yeah, that's what building a program looks like.

Urban Meyer wasn't winning National Championships at Florida with 10-15th place recruiting classes.

2004 - #3
2005 - #7
2006 - #2
2007 - #1
2008 - #6
2009 - #7
2010 - #1

...

2018 - #16
2019 - #11
2020 - #8
2021 - #13
2022 - #19
2023 - #13
2024 - #10

Can you spot the difference?

It didn't start with Napier, he's just been tasked to fix it while his own fan base shits on him removing all hype. And still he has slightly improved the talent level at Florida.

Ron Roberts calls a great game but word from Auburn was that he was such a prick the players couldn’t stand him. And the other staff members either.

At LSU he would have been given a shite ton more support, the recruiting would probably be off the charts, etc. Better NIL support, recruiting support, and if their fan base can hype BK, they would sure as hell do it with Napier.

Kelly had like 40 scholarship players when he showed up.

Sure they'd have better NIL but dude is addicted to his process. If he tired to pull the year 0 "we're great people" bullshite after his first two years at LSU with an 11-14 record he'd probably get murdered.

On another note if you look at what ULL fans say about him it's basically that he was all about winning there etc. ( While Hud liked to hobknob with the laffy old money)

Why does he seem to care more about having his kids be good dudes now. Makes 0 sense.

It'll go about as well as it did for Butch. He seems to be fried ( although getting Ron Roberts to run his D instead of Clueless mid 20s guy is a massive improvement)

Actually, Josh has a .500 record against Napier, and the roster overall has a 3-1 record against Tennessee

Still sore that he knocked the Tide out of playoffs with a bunch of replacement players. LSU has knocked Bama out of it 2 of the last 4 years. Bama will continue to be a very good program, but the dynasty days are long gone.

What is a "better" person? More attentive, more subservient around teammates? Better work habits? More willing to sacrifice? Billy might be right to an extent, I just don't know his definition of "better."

But he's beaten Tennessee's arse and is .500 against Josh Heupel.

So Kentucky > Tennessee.

Got it.

Alabama had already lost to Tennessee that year, it wasn't a national championship quality team.

So, no not really.

What would suck is if Alabama was so bad I'd have to live on moral victories about "ruining" someone else's season.

What about Alabama, Georgia, or Florida since they've beaten Tennessee 999 out of the last 1000 times they've played?

Weird that you're talking shite about Kentucky beating Florida while Florida has beaten you countless times since 1993.
