its that time of year when lsu fans align themselves with bama fans.
I love the fall.
They're just trying to get close to us, so they can steal our rival.

And one more thing, I have noticed in threads like this, LSU people feel the need to get approval from Bama fans. Why is that? Do you need their support in "hating" Auburn? It's like you want to be cool and feel that if Bama agrees with you maybe you are.....I don't know, it's just weird.
Its because they are the true "little brothers".
And they like it. They feel the need to kiss Bama's arse in every bone of their body.

seriously man. I have never "hated" someone for their football team. Talk football, not make assumptions about me. I root for LSU when they aren't playing AU. I hope your not so hateful in your real life.
Good luck to LSU and I look forward to spending the time with the vast majority of LSU fans who aren't sociopaths.

My true hate is reserved for Auburn
I chuckle at the envy some LSU fans have for Auburn. I think it stems from them never having actually won a championsip on the field but having backed into a few with several loses. Maybe this is your year to finally get an undefeated season. But I am thinking no.
I'm sorry, but you need an Intervention, my friend.
* Have LSU coaches and players ever smoked cigars on Auburn's field ??????????
* Have any LSU kickers ran onto Auburn's field and starting warming up in the middle of Auburn's halftime show, then picked a fight with the Auburn tuba player ????????????
* Have any Auburn receivers got hit 10 years before the ball got there in Baton Rouge, with no flag called? (a la Lafell in the end zone '06, Doucet near the end of the game '06) ????????????
* What's worse, have any interference call flags been ACTUALLY PICKED UP after being called, with the game on the line ?????????????
* Have any LSU fans STOLE a Big 10/Big 12 moniker, slapped "Auburn smells like corn dogs" into it, and created a monumentally false and bizarre image that has NOTHING whatsover to do with Auburn ??????
* Have any Auburn players been flagged for trying to block an extra point by jumping on one of his OWN players and had a penalty called for the first time in the history of the sport, thus nullifying a missed extra point ??????????
* Have any LSU players chop blocked an Auburn All-American defensive lineman, thus affecting his play for the rest of the year (and ultimately indirectly leading to a last minute 3OT loss?)
* Has Auburn ever had to endure EIGHT horrible calls in the same game in Baton Rouge ????
* Has LSU ever stomped on the interlocking "AU" at midfield of Jordan Hare ????

Arkansas fans are delusional sure, but for the most part they are a decent bunch.
The gumps are obnoxious and Saban is a walking piece of human waste, but I have nothing against the University of Alabama and in fact I like Tuscaloosa a lot and the good Bama fans are the best in the conference.
Auburn on the other hand is home to the most vile, god awful people in the SEC. And it's not just the fans. it's the team, it's the coaches. It's everything. it's something about the Auburn spirit that requires one to be a huge douchebag or something.
Whether it's:
the 1999 cigar incident
Stomping on the eye before the 2001 game
Damon Duval
Ripping off Oklahoma's "Nebraska fans smell like corn dogs" and replacing it with LSU
"leaping"
Making up ridiculous horror stories about BR
Auburn fans telling me "I hope you build your defenses better than you build your levees" before the 2006 game.
The 2006 game.
Buying Cam Newton and getting away with it.
I take more pleasure in beating Auburn than any other school. If the piss balloon story Auburn fans made up were true, I would reserve their use solely for your fan base. No one is more deserving of that kind of treatment.

Oh boy, DC...your flame started so strong and you just threw some boudin balls on the fire...I'm rubber and you're glue, good stuff.
You know I tried to give Auburn the benefit of the doubt for a long time. I've been everywhere in this conference for an away game. I understand there are "bad fans" at all schools and I don't hold that against that particular fan base as a whole. I always manage to have a good time and find some "good" fans to talk to. They have good fans in Gainesville, good fans in Columbia and Lexington. Good fans in Knoxville and Tuscaloosa. Little Rock and even Oxford too. I've met great fans in Starkville and had some of the best times of my life in Athens.
Yet in the FIVE times I've been to Auburn, I've never ONCE met or hung out with a good Auburn fan. Never ONCE had a good time except at the game and with the people I came with. My experiences with the locals has always been an exercise in douchebaggery and when that happens not once, not twice not even three times but four or even five times, you have to start developing the opinion that maybe there's just not a lot of good fans there. Maybe that's just a bad place in this conference.

okay and how does that prove the point refered to in my post? it doesnt
Well, let me see, pretend this is written in crayon...
1869 - 2010 LSU is ranked 12th in the nation in wins
2000 - 2010 LSU is ranked 7th in the nation in wins.
We did not go from 75th to 7th since 2000, we went from 12th to 7th. So your history begins in 2000 argument is not valid.
There are teams that you can use that argument with, LSU is not one of them.

Great post! The thing that sucks so bad about Auburn isn't even their fans. They are just following the lead of their busch league administration and coaches. Navid Nousels rants of hatred towards UA, a head coach holding up 7 fingers before getting blasted in the Iron Bowl, Jay Jacobs' pathetic letters to the fan base and lastly the antics of Trooper Taylor are just a few examples. How can you blame the fan base when they have such poor role models to look up to?
