1. Ohio State - just plain scary. Still hoping their new coach slips up soon

2. LSU - only ahead of Alabama because of the teams each has played

3. Alabama - "maybe" Coach Saban's best coaching job ever with all the injuries

4. Clemson - Should have lost to North Carolina and not be included on this list

5. Penn State - Only ahead of Florida because they have yet to lose a game. I think on a neutral field, Florida and Georgia could beat Penn State.

Swap Bama and Clemson. You can probably swap Penn St and Bama after that too

why put Alabama in your top 20, after all the LSU fan base is certain we aren't worthy competition for you

Because it is my Top 5 teams. If you don't want Alabama in your Top 20, then you do that

Based on what exactly?

Yea, you could I guess. They beat Michigan who probably gets the nod over A&M with the Notre Dame win.

I can’t disagree...but I will say, I think Clemson finally woke up last night. They looked like a NC team for the first time all season. They’re building up for the stretch run while all the “front-runners” like UGA and OU fall off to the side.

I could move Clemson below Penn State, but no way could I place them above Alabama. Of the top five that I have, were there any closer wins than Clemson's win over UNC or the LSU win over Auburn yesterday? Granted, there is a large difference between UNC and Auburn

I have to put Clemson ahead of Bama thus far and I have Penn State out of the top five until they beat Ohio St. That’s what it’ll take to move Penn St up. Other than that , your top five is solid.

I'll just list who I think has the best teams. Obviously LSU would be 1st just based on quality wins.

1. OSU
2. Bama
3 (tie) LSU and Clemson.
5. PSU
6. Auburn

So after LSU loses to #5, where will they be ranked?

Clemson is winning by an average score of 44-12. What was the score of the championship game? #4 is fine. They will get LSU or Ohio st first then it will be Clemson Bama 5.

I was at that game. UNC lined up with a play to win and Clemson stopped it. Is football played differently these days?

I agree with that Top 5. As good as Burrow is, this looks to be OSU's season to lose

Clemson and Bama have no signature wins and each has one struggle win against mediocre competition yet somehow Clemson has dropped from number 1 to number 4 despite having equivalent statistics from last years NC team.
