Ohio State is the most complete team this year. They have both an elite offense, and an elite defense

I don’t know if you watch a lot of big 10 ball or football in general but the offenses in that league are dreadful. When you have the talent OSU does and you go against offenses that have no speed or dynamic athleticism to threaten you with its much easier to dominate on defense.
You can bring up “cliches” all you want but it’s true.

I'd flip Clemson and Bama, and say you have it about right.
But, I'd have OU in the discussion of best 1 loss team. Their D failed them in a big way mostly because they didnt seem prepared. They overlooked KSU and it bit them in the butt.
Offense is still solid.

Big 10 offenses really aren't dreadful. It's not like it's the offensive equivalent of Big 12 defense. Big 10 offense may be a little bit slower in the skill positions on average compared to the SEC, but their offensive lines are just as good as anywhere, they have solid QB play, and just about every team has a few NFL-level game changers (like Iowa having two first-round TE's on the roster last year, Purdue having Rondale Moore, etc).
Also, these are worn "cliches." Big 10 teams are much faster than they used to be. Part of this is because recruiting is even more national than ever, as well as an increase in year-round focus on things like speed and strength everywhere in the country. Related to this is the "trickle down" effect caused by Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan. Those three schools in particular recruit all over the country, oftentimes in favor of their own in-state/regional talent. That overlooked in-state/regional talent then goes to the "lesser" Big 10 schools like Michigan State, Iowa, Purdue, etc. Those overlooked players have just as high of a ceiling as those 4/5 star guys from elsewhere, but sometimes they are late bloomers or at a slight disadvantage for not playing football year round. That's why a guy like Leveon Bell ends up at Michigan State and Tevin Coleman ends up at Indiana.

I disagree. This year, big ten offenses are terrible.
Michigan might finally be nearing servicable. Penn state is solid offensively. Indiana and Minnesota are surprisingly game. Wisconsin is average at best but really can’t throw the ball downfield.
The remainder of the league is pretty pitiful. Iowa, northwestern and Michigan state - being respectable on defense - hurt the eyes trying to move the ball.

I understand Ohio State has dominated in every game they played but other than Wisconsin, they really haven’t played anybody. At this point in the season, LSU looks to be the clear cut #1. #2 and 3 could be flipped between Bama and Ohio State with Clemson #4.

Are you trolling? Ohio State has been arguably THE fastest team in college football since Urban took over.
They weren’t very fast when Clemson trucked them 31-0 a couple of years ago. Our defensive speed bewildered their offense the entire game. I guess we’ll find out how good they really are soon enough when the preseason scrimmages end and the CFP begins. Will be fun having the B1G back in the CFP mix ...OSU should have been in last year instead of ND.

Agreed. That’s pretty accurate.
Ohio State has shown consistency in all aspects.
LSU has the best resume.
Bama and Clemson deserve it until someone proves them wrong.
Penn State is on the outside looking in.
Don’t count out Florida, Oregon, Utah and Georgia!

Your defensive speed didn't bewilder anyone lol because it wasn't any faster than ours or Bamas. Are you forgetting that OSU's offense practices against OSU's defense every single day......ya know, the same OSU defense that had 4 first round picks starting in the secondary plus loads of other NFL talent? OSU fans knew going into that game that we would have a hard time scoring against you guys, but it had nothing to do with your "defensive speed"....it was because of Tim Beck.
To truly understand how awful Tim Beck is: The 2015 OSU team, which was virtually the same roster as the 2014 national championship team and absurdly stacked on offense (Zeke, Michael Thomas, etc), was held to 132 total yards against Michigan State.
