I read recently that the City of Birmingham invested some money into slight renovations but im not seeing it..
One would think Uab would help out to since the blazers are the main tenant..
Do something to make it look somewhat decent on the outside if its going to be preserved.
On and Smithfield
Entertainment Disyrict
The hype was so strong for this strip mall looking district.. Its like a block... Maybe it can be expanded if it makes $$

I have lived in the Birmingham area all my life and in my opinion Legion Field needs to go. UAB doesn't need to help fix something that was obsolete long before they even had a football team. Hope everyone has a wonderful time today and good luck to your team. Hopefully one day we will have a better stadium for the area not only for the bowl game but also UAB and High School games.

I say we install a giant pool liner, fill it up with water and get us a Beluga whale!

UAB, the Barons, and the city of bimingham couldve sat down at the table for Regions Field and made it into a baseball and football facility. Wouldve been a big win for all parties involved. But of course the board of trustees for UA still wouldve said no.

Probably just a new coat of paint on the concrete...it's about the only thing holding the old girl together now

Does the stadium collapse today with its first sell out in lord knows how long?

UAB doesn't have any money to help. They average about 700 people per home game

Looking down through rusted metal holes to the ground is a bit unnerving, but I am sure that they have made sure that it is structurally sound.
They have. Haven't they?

I will have to give Legion Field some credit. The crew of people that handled stadium parking at the UAB game last year was the nicest bunch of people I have ever encountered in a stadium parking situation.

Hope not. It would be terrible to lose a whole SEC fan base like that.
