FWIW this whole argument for me was to be called SC instead of USCe, so your argument is moot to at least me.

I hate any usage of USC too. I don't refer to either school as USC. Just So.Cal and SCar (and sometimes SC)

This and the fact that it was believed the fair was more popular than football at the time so they built the stadium next to the fairgrounds to promote football. At least that's what I have heard.

Yeah I think during SC-CU "big thrusday" game was during the state fair or something and to attract more attention and participation they built the stadium next to the fair and have just built on it from there.. where both the fair and stadium still reside resulting in overcrowding at least 1 game a year.

Thank god. I hate fair-gameday fusions.
I think LSU in 08 was the worst.

Yeah usually its when UK or Vandy come to town so the crowd isn't quite so massive. However the State Fair mixed in with the LSU visiting fan base.. I couldn't get the corndog smell off my shirt for 2 months.

I nominate this as our mascot
What's more badass than a bear smoking a cigar, wearing a bandanna, holding a tommy gun, and surfing on a Shark?
