I think it is a toss up game. With that said if LSU losses, they will be on the outside looking in. Meanwhile I like bama’s chances of getting in with their sole loss to LSU. They will get benefit of doubt and have earned it ino

Everything depends on whether Oklahoma, Clemson, and OSU/Wisc finish undefeated.

It is what it is. Clemson and Bama will definitely get benefit of the doubt. While I think we have done very well so far this year and assuming we don't have a loss other than to Bama, we should get a look at being one of the top five but Oklahoma doesn't look like they will lose a game this year. Our only hope is for a two loss Big 10 champ. I doubt that'll happen. Even if Wisconsin or Ohio State have one loss, whoever is Big 10 champ will be in.

How so?

Taking just this year into account, how would bama be more deserving at a second chance than a one loss LSU whose loss is on the road to the top ranked team?

I get that, don’t see osu and Clemson losing. LSU’s best shot would be Texas winning big 12.

If there are two sec teams, I think committee has them square off in first round. They do not want another 2011 or 2017 situation w two sec teams playing for natty

I agree it should be based on just this year. I do not think committee will see it that way though. They’ll want the bama brand included

So a home loss for Bama gets them in but a road loss for LSU leaves them out? Makes sense.

Unless there’s 4 undefeated teams at the end, I’d say a close loss for LSU and they’re in. A Bama loss at home and they’re probably out.

LSU has to beat bama to make playoffs. Bama can lose and then the committee will come up with the eye test to try to justify getting bama in. Bama has to lose twice to get eliminated.

Of course they would have earned it. I mean with that Gauntlet of schedule that they have played who could argue that

I agree. OSU and Clemson will not lose again. OU will run the table and have the Heisman winner. That leaves the SECC.

He's right. They haven't earned it but it's just human nature and bias. That's life.

The loser will not get in.

Clemson is in, OU is in, the winner of OSU and Wisconsin is in. SEC champ is in

There will be unexpected losses along the way. It's never as simple as it looks in Oct.

The loser isn’t getting in.

No team that has not even advanced to their conference title game has ever made it in. Nor will they

There's a better chance that Oklahoma shits the bed but after watching their defense yesterday, that chance is not good really. Their defense picked up Hurts when he was struggling and kept Texas off the board.

Teams made the BCS championship game without winning their conference and that was with two available spots rather than four.
