I'm still not seeing where your excitement about Relf is coming from. Every teams defense will not have the egg bowl meltdown that we had this year, and that was the only game besides the jackson state game that made him look good.

shhhhh....let them dream.

All Relf will have to do is throw the deep ball well(he can) and be effecient to have an excellent season in 2010.

hmmm....That's exactly what we're talking about with Stanley too.

Ah, Ears Whitworth. Father of the Spread Offense. Coach who sat future NFL 2 time Super Bowl winner, Bart Starr, on the bench. Coach that had a 4-24-2 record at Alabama.... In his first season, he went 10 games, 10 losses. Not since 1895 had an Alabama football team emerged from a season without a single victory.

Delighted that their coach finally could claim the first win of his tenure, several Alabama players rode a weeping Whitworth off the field atop their shoulders.

The reason Relf played so much in the Egg Bowl was based on how well he did vs. Arky. He also made a few plays vs. UK and AU.

the thing that would concern be if I were a state fan is what if you face a defense that can defend the option. That means they will put 8 in the box and force Relf's arm to beat them.

how well he did vs. Arky

I have to admit I didnt watch this game, but didnt yall score just 20 against the worse defense in the SEC, it couldnt have been that great of a performance unless he had limited playing time of course, which could've been the case

With strong performances against those defensive power houses he's gotta be good next year.

He had a pretty good performance against LSU too. 100% completion rate. 1 attempt 1 completion

He played the most in the 2nd half, where we scored most of our points. The problem in that game was getting into bad situations offensively. Seems like we had a lot of plays for no or negative yardage.

As long as Relf can throw the deep ball people will not be putting eight in the box on us. You also have to factor in Tyler Russell who will see PT this fall.

You'd nitpick no matter what I told you.

what do you mean as long as relf throws the deep ball? Well of course if he can throw for 300 every game people wont be putting 8 in the box, but as far as I know, he's the worst passer in the West.

I don't mean 300 yards, I mean if he can throw a good ball and stretch the field teams will not want to put eight in the box. You put eight in the box and we'll burn you downfield with Bumphis or one of our other WRs, simple as that.

Maybe, but only because his stats really don't look special. He completed like 5-10 passes in the games he played, ran like 70 yards in his best game, and only threw passing TD's vs Jackson state and us.

And yes TR will play QB too I'm sure. You have one QB that can pass but can't run, and one that can run but can't pass. Although it sounded more like TR wasn't very good at either from what people were saying after watching practices or the scrimmage.

I believe it was the Sixpack where I read them talking last year about how Relf is dumber than a bag of hammers and couldn't remember more than a couple of plays. I would assume he had limited playing time last year because Lee knew more of the playbook than Relf, does Relf seem to be picking it up now? Honest question

I just honestly don't think Relf is a good QB or atleast not as good as state fans seem to think. But then again I guess it's the same way with state fans and our QBs

LSU will loose to Fla. in the swamp
LSU will beat Bama in TS
Bama will beat Fla. in BDS
LSU will beat Fla. in the rematch in Atl. to play for the BCS.
1. LSU 11-1 (7-1)
2. Bama 10-2 (7-2)
3. Arkansas 8-4 (4-4)
4. Auburn 8-4 (4-4)
5. Mississippi State 4-8 (3-5)
6. Ole Miss 3-9 (2-6)

Also Bama will loose a game that they are not supposed to loose. That is the way it is in the SEC you can not take a week off that is why the SEC is the best conference in College football.

I Say!

Miles couldn't even manage a one loss season with the ridiculous talent he had from 05-07.

The people who said he was as dumb as a bagof hammers were probably the Tyler Russell nuts who wanted him to burn the redshirt.
