Shut the frick up. You know he just nullified your flame. If you want extensive statistics, look them up yourself.

I'll gladly do that

TBH, I predicted FLA would drop that one (As well as USC), but I think that's going to be a great game. I just love to troll ya'll (for now ). I do want to beat up on UGA more, though.

Okay.

College Football Rematches Typically Produce a Different Winner.

Now, you shut the frick up.

From your link:

Of the 41 rematches that I found in college football history, the loser of Game 1 is 21-20 in Game 2.

Whew, what an advantage!

Kindly keep shutting the frick up.

5-1 v. 21-20

You basically have a 50-50 shot at winning the rematch. You think that's insignificant?

Kindly keep shutting the frick up yourself.

OH! You meant, "insignificant"! You said "hard as hell" so I thought that's what you meant.

You're right, just because you beat a team once, it doesn't mean you'll automatically do it again, if that's what you meant. However, if you meant that the odds are somehow greatly switched in favor of the team that lost the first game, then ........ shut the frick up some more.

Okay. I will concede that "hard as hell" was hyperbole. But a rematch being a coin flip does tend to prove that the original winner is at a statistical disadvantage to the point where a rematch is unfair on several levels. I will leave it at that.

Ok, my hate is gone. You can stop shutting the frick up.

But, why do you think those 44 teams got rematches? The vast majority were in conference championships or bowl games, I'm sure. Which means ....... you guessed it ........ they were pretty evenly matched in the first place. And look, the results come out almost exactly 50/50.

Our schedule is just too hard to go undefeated. As of right now we play 4 teams in the 15 and 5 in the top 25.

in 2011 we played 4 in the top 5 or some shite

Yes but 2 of those were OOC and spaced around weaker teams. While LSU's 2011 regular season was amazing, there were easy matchups between the big games.
-Oregon to start the year
-Miss State before WVU
-Kentucky before Florida
-Open date before Bama
-Ole Miss before Arkansas

This 2013 schedule has Auburn, @UGA, @Miss State, Florida, @Ole Miss in consecutive weeks. No way LSU gets through that stretch undefeated.

Auburn before UGA (and State was ranked when we played them)

-Kentucky before Florida

Miss State before Florida

then Ole Miss who could be tough or could be 2-4

basically 2 weeks off before bama

bye week before A&M

it's tough but not impossible

Ole Miss has a very difficult first 7 games (save S.E. Missouri). I know we were fortunate to win last year. I'm expecting a pretty tough game.

LSU could have to beat 6(!!) top 10 teams and another couple top 25 to go undefeated next season. Bama/A&M/UF/UGA/SECCG(USC?)/NC then you got TCU/Ole Miss. 8/14 games against top 25 and 6/14 against possible top 10 teams.

Good Luck

Good Luck

We'll need it.

Hard to speak for a whole fanbase but I'd venture most LSU fans simply want to see an efficient O, commensurate with talent, that should finish in the 30's or better in Total Offense. If we can do that, I'll be excited. If we win, we win...if we lose, we lose. But just, for the Love of Gawd, be competent.
