MEMPHIIIIIIIIIIIIS
I don't know. I haven't really pushed the issue yet. I shall let him lick his wounds first.

RE: The Hog Call....you're not supposed to like it. It's not yours. I am not fond of hottie tottie, rocky top, gator chomps, cowbells, red elephants and roll tide, war eagle, the eyes of texas, boomer sooner, hail to the victors, or anything else that isn't Hog-centric. ALL college cheers are stupid, if you think about it. But woooooo-PIG SOOIEE is OUR stupid tradition, and those of us who grew up in AR and went to school at the UA (two degrees) have fond memories and a strong attachment to that cheer. You dig, "LSU! LSU!" or "GO! TIGERS!" or "Hot boudin, cold cous-cous....etc" and that's cool The first two are low on the originality scale, but the third is at least as silly as Whoooo-Pig Sooiee. It's just that those things are yours.
As for the Arkansas Razorback...FIRST DOWN! We love it and don't care what others think. Incidentally, since our PA announcer at the time, Craig O'Neill, coined that gimmick, LOTS of other schools - big and small - as well as several NFL teams now do that. I can only imagine how frustrating that must sound to a defense in the 4th quarter as a team calls 12 consecutive run plays to come off of their own 10 yard line and marches 88 yards to set up a crucial field goal. That's the point of it, and it's fun.
Too bad you didn't find our tailgate or see my son and me after the game. I like interacting with visiting fans and talking football. I have a sense of humor but I have a great deal of respect for people who care enough to come into "enemy" territory to support their teams. I treat y'all like I hope you'll treat me when I visit your stadium. Take care.

man, we had no problem at all up there .. hell, we tailgated with a bunch of arky fans ... after the game we got a little good natured ribbing .. but we wished them luck in the sugar bowl ... every fan base has their good and bad people .. but after traveling to watch the tigers play for close to 20 years and having been to every SEC city and a number of others, i am convinced 90% of every fan base are good college football fans and 10% are just a bunch of low self esteemed jackasses that have to hide behind the success of their program to make themselves feel better ..

5 were bought for face and 3 were bought for 100, pretty good IMHO. We had them all from TD folks by Tuesday before we left.

as a well traveled LSU fan i've seen a lot of stadiums and fan bases. This was by far the worst i've experienced (i haven't been to Gainesville though)
Have you been to Baton Rouge? ? ? At night? ? ?

well im sure you are by far the better road tripper than I.
however i have made quite a few trips. i've also dealt with multiple fan bases. ive been yelled at, and i've yelled back, typically with a smile.
(only two times a fight almost occurred was in Kentucky prior to the Blue Grass Miracle and another time at Ole Miss).
but it seemed like these fans had an immature mentality about this win. almost like a little brother beating a big brother. they weren't just satisfied with a "W" or defeating LSU for that matter, they wanted to rub it in. Almost as if they were insulted by my mere presence in Little Rock.
for the record we did tailgate next to some fine fans, and we also hung out with some nice people after the game at Ernie Biggs. my OP was about my overall assessment.

So LSU fans can dish it out but they can't take it. Awesome.

I don't think Arkansas fans are any better or worse than any other SEC fanbase. You're going to find good and bad anywhere you go.
There is one odd thing I noticed though. All (and I do mean ALL) of the men in the restrooms pee sitting down. What's going on with that? Is it a superstition or something? Every time I went to the restroom, the Arkansas fans were waiting for the stalls even when urinals were available.
If no one explains this, I'll have to sum it up as one of the following.....
1) They all had the runs.
or
2) Arkansas fans are.....shy??
or
3) Arkansas fans are lazy.
....or maybe there's some other reason men from Arkansas squat to pee.....
