Ask any of your OM fans who aren't on the board and they will call for nutts head. Hell just go over to nafoom, there's been several fire nutt threads. If we would've lost because our offense was awful then there wouldn't be as many people taking positives out of the game. If we didn't look great in the first half then there wouldn't be any optimistic fans. Fact is our qb's and recievers looked really good, which was a surprise, we didn't commit a single penalty and our 3 solid OL were very good. What was bad was our defense, which was very good the first half when we had the foot on the pedal. We know out d is talented so them not performing well isn't such a downer as would our offense would be if they didn't perform well.
Calling for coaches heads after one game when we just came off our best back to back years in 4 decades is stupid and I'm proud the om posters on this board haven't acted like idiots. The season can still be salvaged, but we've obviously got a long way to go

well you guys are going to present a strong front here, no matter what.
there are lots of questions to be answered:
how bad is OM's defense?
how will the players respond?
how will the coaches respond?
will the interior oline be able to block anybody?
can you keep Mullen's hands off your class?
etc.

A big road win against Tulane and everyone will forget about that bump in the road yesterday!

Exactly NIH, how we play next week will be a more solid indicator of how the rest of the season will play out.
If our d plays four quarters of good football and our team comes out to prove something instead of feeling sorry for themselves then I still think we have a shot at a decent season, being 6-7 wins with an egg bowl because right now that seems decent. Sad isn't it

Calling for your coaches head after that game would be stupid.
But you have to realize, you guys stating your team looked "great" in the first half, QB and receivers looking good, etc. seems crazy. They were playing against Jacksonville State. How can you judge how good they were, against that level of competition? Sure, they may have looked great at times.......against Jacksonville State. And you eventually lost to them.
I guess it's good you're proud of your fellow posters. I just don't know how you could post that you feel good about where your team is after yesterday. Like I said, I honestly can't think of another team in the SEC that would feel that way.

I agree you can't judge running backs and OL against teams like JSU, but our recievers, who we thought were our weak part of our team, made catches in traffic, with hands in their face, and went up and got balls. Our recievers did look good and you can see that through their play doesn't matter who they played.
And I mention our first half play because if it continued everyone would be saying 9-10 wins because of how dominant we were, so you see the potential.
I know you wan to see us crying and predicting a loss to tulane, but it would be stupid to give up hope after just one game.

i think this mindset of its ok to lose to a d2 school might be why ole miss is the only school in the west to never make it to the championship game.
Very awkward read to be sure. Should be much more outrage after being up 31-10. There is much more to this story than just good this/bad that.

being up 21 should only make it worse

This is the offensive play by Ole Miss that caught my attention:
I know it's easier to see things more clearly post hoc, but this was called right before the Ole Miss field goal which gave OM an 8 point lead. Why would anyone call that play up the middle? For a better shot at a field goal?
ETA: I was surprised that it went for 12 yards.

i can agree with the positives that the other rebs are posting, but I'm damn sure not gonna list them myself. I've never been so ashamed in my entire life and listing anything positive from that abortion is about the saddest shite I've ever heard of IMO

Buck up...you can go ahead and pencil in a win against LSU.
