What kind of job is Lanning leavin for?

I see a long term DC waiting for a big time program.
Not a quick jump to the MAC or pathetic PAC school.

I very easily could be wrong. But I think the quick jump path is not what Lanning wants. Kirby is the blueprint for this apprentice.

I really thought Muschamp would be able to turn the corner at USC. He loves the area. He really does. He's not a lousy recruiter. Muschamp just hasn't moved the needle past OK.

He stabilized the program from the freefall that Spurrier put it in but I think that might be his ceiling. Hell, I hope Pittman moves us from absolutely rotten to passable. But... at some point... you need to move past that stage.

Muschamp is an amazing DC. Some folks just don't cut it as a HC. We have 2 failed HCs as our OC and DC. They both have shown to be excellent coordinators. That's the limit for some coaches.

But in today's market one can make a very comfortable living as a coordinator.

Muschamp will make someone an elite DC if he knows that's his best option and gets the dream of being a HC out of his head. One of our coordinators has reached that point. The other hasn't and will likely fail somewhere else before he realizes his limit...

I have to disagree.

Georgia doesn’t need another defensive coach.

Georgia needs an OC.

I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to have all the talent in the world and you put a subpar offense on the field every year.

Probably Bama because LSU will destroy Bama in Baton Rouge in November. I'd say it will destroy UGA too, but I think their new transfer QB is so erratic that Florida will finally win the SEC East after a long drought.

That will never change as long as Kirby remains at the helm at UGA.

He did a much better job than anyone gives him credit for.

#3 defense in the SP+ despite all the injuries. Both losses on the season came in games where the offense had multiple turnovers. How can you expect to win games against good teams with that many turnovers? You can't.

It was the defense, not the offense that kept Alabama in the LSU game. The offense put Alabama down by 20 going into the half, with LSU receiving the ball to start the 2nd half. The defense goes out on the first drive and gets a turnover. They proceed to shut the LSU offense out for the entire 3rd quarter - while getting 0 help from the offense until Sark finally starts running Najee right before the end of the 3rd.

He's been made a scapegoat for things out of his control.

How retarded do y'all feel not knowing that we got a new OC literally this off-season? And not a Chaney/coley clone, one that actually *gasps* opens things up?
