I'm all for a coach making changes and trying to make things his own, but you have to do it tastefully. If you fire someone that's well liked, just do it with class. Don't just give a "no comment" response. That's what looks shitty.

Some Gamecocks in here are melting down over an equipment manager.
I feel bad for the guy, but he will be ok. Ray found a new position for the guy (which can be seen as a questionable move also), so people need to chill.

I'm gonna have to agree with this.
I wasn't going to call them out, but the way rooster talks to people on here is irritating. It is funny because of the certain social circles he says he is in. I doubt he talks that way in real life, so why talk like that on here?

No...not a Gamecock fan, but not a hater. I do know that its one thing to razz a rival fan and even then it should have something in your replies that smack of humor.
To attack fellow fans with cursing and downright hatred? I think some folks have a problem. If you cant articulate your thoughts without every other word being cocksucker this or that...its sad really. Think you'all need a group hug and a timeout...all of you are better than this. Ive met some great USC fans at games and drank them under the table at times...which surprised a few when a 60+ yr old can drink and do beer pong and laugh like hell. My liver hates me btw.

Fixed it. Best case scenario he's their Zook, he's at least learned enough to recruit a balanced team and unlike at Florida doesn't leave the program worse off with a ton of negative records.

So, Muscramp fires a beloved member of the SC community. Then, the AD rehires him and puts him in another position to get him away from Miscreamp. It would appear that Bustchamp has a great start to the SC blowup he is going to conduct. Duck. Run. Find another team to root for. Do something. Or, the next several years are going to bring you heartache like Texas and Florida fans, and Auburn players who followed him there. ALL my Florida and Texas friends think he is a complete disaster. The only more unified fan base I am aware of is Alabama and their love of Saban.

Muschamp is a head-case. Watching him in the IB last year getting a personal foul and almost getting tossed from the game when it looked like he was about to rush the field and kill the ref with his bare hands was eye opening. The guy just doesn't have the make-up to be a successful HC. Saban has controlled rage...key word controlled, everything he does is calculated, when he fires people--even ones he dislikes--he praises them in the press. And he doesn't waste his time firing chaplains or the water bottle washers either.
I give Mushy 3-4 years...and then he will be a lifetime DC which is where he really belongs.

Hiring Champ was nothing more than Spurrier's last gift to a friend, and our Baseball Coach playing AD's inability to make a hire. All The University of South Carolina has as far as football goes is our membership in the Southeastern Conference. Ray Tanner's failure to leverage the two most important aspects of that Membership, money & prestige, by making a huge hire will set our football program back 7 or 8 years minimum. We are, once again, our Daddy's Gamecocks. The fault, as usual, lays at the feet of our hooplehead Board of Trustees for allowing our baseball coach to take over a 100 million dollar athletic program. Carolina fans have been here before. We will support our team and coaches while we hope to beat the Kentucky's, snatch a win from the Georgia's, and scare the big boys once in a blue moon. And so it goes.
