Correct. And the asset holders in this equation are the bond holders, not the university. Bonds are an asset to the purchaser, not the issuer.

These idiots want to talk about endowment??? HARVARD is such a powerhouse in football with their 36 BIL endowment!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahah that's their argument for relevancy in football.

And these are some of the brighter ones in that conference.
You should see Baylor Fans, ooof, most of them just started watching football a couple of years ago.

You're too financially dumb to know just how badly you lost this argument.

No one said it had to do wit relevancy in football. You keep saying A&Ms poor when the facts state a different case.
A&M endowment - $11.1 bil
OU endowment - $1.4 bil
Yep, we po

You are talking about football renovations and football relevancy that's what this whole thread has been about! You think that 11 bil is getting sunk into your football program? by the looks of those bonds id say no...

So tell me okies. Who comes out ahead? The person who brings in 119 mil and spends 95 mil or the person who brings in 129 mil and spends 113 mil?
Who really has more to reinvest and grow?

I'm surprised that an esteemed degree holder doesn't know that

The esteemed degree holder DOES know that and already corrected the clown who posted it above, at the top of the page. The bond holders have the asset, not the university. You clowns have ZERO idea how bonds work and it's gotten comical watching you pretend like you know what you're talking about.

You're too poor to finance your stadium renovation
Posted on 10/6/15 at 3:50 pm to mightysooner
You literally can't afford the $400 million it takes to finance your ludicrous stadium expansion project.

OUs renovation is financed idiot its two phases always was.
Posted on 10/6/15 at 3:51 pm to AgBQ00
What about the person who spends $450M and finances $353M of it with secured debt he's on the hook for (with interest) no matter what?

They just parrot the same memes over and over again. They have no idea how badly they've been destroyed because they don't really have any financial literacy. Just posing again. Hell they don't even know that the university put them on the hook for it.

This is true entertainment, Okies are hilarious in their pathetic grasp for relevance.
You can talk plenty of smack about Aggies but money smack is just stupid, we are gushing cash right now and it isn't changing anytime soon. A&M wanted to do a $450 mill rebuild of Kyle. Only we raised so much money so fast we decided to up it to $485 mill and drop and extra $20 mill in pocket change on our locker rooms.
OU tried to do a $300 mill rebuild and had to cancel and do one for half that with the promise of someday doing the other $150 mill.
A&M has sold out its 102k stadium and the highest demand is for the most expensive tickets. People are lined up to give money to our school and we are cranking out over 12k new grads per year. The demographics behind us are staggering. Also, the revenue numbers you cite don't include any of the new revenue from our new stadium and the additional seats or the SEC Network money which is just starting to kick in.
Oh, and our endowment is 10X the size of yours.
More than any of that though, just remember the last time you guys decided to play us:
