2 national championship minimum to be on the wall. The SEC is so successful, I don't think 1 MNC is enough.

Only two coaches in the SEC can claim two national championships or more since the '92 expansion: Urban Meyer and Nick Saban. In fact...there are only three coaches in SEC history who won more than one national title at their school in the Poll Era.

Ralph "Shug" Jordan - 1 (Auburn, 1957)
Paul Dietzel - 1 (LSU, 1958)
Paul "Bear" Bryant - 6 (Alabama, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979)
Vince Dooley - 1 (Georgia, 1980)
Gene Stallings - 1 (Alabama, 1992)
Steve Spurrier - 1 (Florida, 1996)
Phillip Fulmer - 1 (Tennessee, 1998)
Nick Saban - 6 (LSU, 2003; Alabama, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017)
Urban Meyer - 3 (Florida, 2006, 2008; Ohio State, 2014)
Les Miles - 1 (LSU, 2007)
Gene Chizik - 1 (Auburn, 2010)
Ed Orgeron - 1 (LSU, 2019)

Fulmer is #3 for me easily.

4th choice is trickier. Comes down to Les, Urban and O for me.

Urban wasn't in the SEC long. I want to lean Les for now but O will pass him soon enough.

ETA - it's a shame Richt never got over the hump. He'd be a real contender other wise.
