If Chris Lemonis doesn’t let our guys sleep in late after last night then I’m gonna be pissed.

That game ended at 3am and by the time the congrats, showers and settling to bed happen, it’s easy 5am.

I know coaches like a schedule but good grief, don’t wake them up at 7am and wait all day to play Vandy just to keep a sleep schedule. They will be zombies by night game.

I’ve never coached, anyone here have? Just curious. I say let them sleep in late and be more fresh for tonights game. Otherwise I see a Vandy blowout out like 13-3. Your thoughts? Especially from anyone who has coached a HS tourney or had a dad who coached at any level. Your thoughts?

They are college kids for frick sake, staying up until the wee hours chasing gash is what they do.

Of course, let them sleep in. If he gets them up at 7 with 2 hours sleep that’s kinda plain stupid. I’m not the coddling type for college athletes but even young people need more than 2 hours sleep to perform their best.

Well I get that. Having said that we used up our bullpen. The idea was to give them more experience as they’ve started to come along lately. I think we gonna have to go with a starter now for a few innings. We have run out of juice. Maybe Ethan Small for 3 or 4 innings. Will be interesting.

It’s all gravy from here anyway. Let them sleep. Less chance for dumb mistakes and/or injury.

Didn’t see this thread. Posted in the tourney thread.

Why limit Small to only a few innings? Isn’t he needed to eat innings tonight?

Our new coach Chris Lomonis made it clear after getting a top National seed that he wanted to save arms and that the SEC tourney did not mean much.

We threw nothing but bullpen guys vs LSU because he wanted them to get some work heading into regionals etc. That’s all we did last night.

But 17 innings drained our bullpen. I suspect you will face a starter tonight by sheer need.

I wish MSU the best of luck, if the Hogs don't win it all in Omaha this year I hope y'all do.

That having been said... I'll cheerfully watch you lose by 18 runs as long as you manage to somehow bean that whistling jackass. If you do that you might not be the National Champions in baseball, but you will be the National Champions in our hearts.

If Dock Ellis can pitch a no hitter while tripping on LSD and the world melting around him these kids can power through.

That vandy whistler is someone I would have thought that their University would have stopped by now. But he goes to every game, a die hard fan, he must get a break for that.

We will have to start Small tonight so he will be ready by regional time.

You would think just to keep him and the others on their normal rotations. I mean we're pitching Campbell today because of that. I doubt Campbell goes more than 80 pitches or so, but you still want to keep them on their normal rotations. Pitchers are creatures of habit.

It’s the SEC tourney. Y’all already have a high national seed locked down. I wouldn’t give a crap. Only reason I’d like for us to beat UGA today is to get our RPI a little higher.
