It is smart for all 3 schools
They get to play in pro stadium, they get to a hotbed of alumni, and nobody loses out on a home game.
Last time I recall MSU going into the dome they got beat by Tulane with a Jackie team.

Can State host recruits at this? If so it's not a bad idea for scheduling. I know for a standard neutral site game you can host them but they have to pay travel expenses and you can't have contact with them, not sure how this is classified

Auburn should play LSU in the dome. With HVAC Fournette could probably give your whole team piggyback rides instead of just 3 or 4..

Yes we do. I would think they can have recruits on the sideline since it's not on campus.

Those are the only options because MSU is too poor to pay them to play in Starkville. Most schools don't have return trips to these nobody schools.
