I guess we got what we (including myself) asked for in getting rid of Stans.

Why do people keep saying this? Bost, Moultrie, Sidney, Bryant, and Hood were all leaving, even if Stansbury was the coach. He screwed up our program because we waited two years too late to fire him. That's why I have been complaining so bad for two years.

Bundy, even with those players Stans would not develop them and would piss away their careers until they transferred or went pro. It's been a common trend for 5-6 years now.

True, but at least we were competitive in the SEC and were on the bubble.

Next year will be really, really bad. We don't have talent, we have a new coach starting from scratch, we will have a HUGE decrease in attendance ala Auburn. We will be lucky to win 10 games next year and could go winless in the SEC.

I just don't know any way to spin things in a positive way. BOTH Stansbury and Scott Stricklin put us in this situation. We are now bottom feeders in the SEC.

Sounds like coach Ray's hard work and discipline speech must have not gone over well with returning players.

I blame the first couple on him. And the rest on Ray.

Ok we will see how we fare with Coach Ray's style of basketball this fall. I have nothing against the man, I just feel he has a really tough job to do.

Ray might be screwed and so are we. And it is all because we kept Stansbury around too long.

Two years ago, we would have gotten a big name coach.

Stricklin's fault.

Not being able to hire a top coach is his fault also. No excuse South Carolina and TCU can spend $2 mil for a coach and we have to settle for An assistant.

Actually, I blame fans like you who refused to admit several years ago that Stansbury needed to move on. Had we made a move when we should have, we would have been a more attractive job opportunity. The fan base was split probably half and half on Stansbury for a while. Only this year did the rest of you finally get on board but the horse was already out of the barn. Thanks for nothing, Bundy - and all of the other slow on the uptake fans.

Stop acting like Ray was on the top of our prospective HC list. The only other school after him for a HC job was Winthrop.

All Strickland did was the same thing State has done in the past. They pulled a Dan Mullen and are hoping for the best.. Went after an assistant coach or "associate head coach" that is enthusiastic and competitive.

That's a sad looking team. How the hell are we gonna get the ball down the court? Even if we are terrible next season, it will be more enjoyable than the past two. I didn't enjoy a single moment of the last two years. Next year, a conference win could be a lot of fun.
