Do you realize how strong the SEC is???

Um yes and we should be at the top of the pile. We have the second most CWS appearances of all time, a number of recognizable major leaguers past and present, support (though not as good right now because we are average)

I am not advocating firing Cohen YET. But I am also not getting off my knees wiping off his knuckle children.

They have had an awesome 5 or 6 year run. I think 1 down year is acceptable after the run they just had.

We could hire a number of people.

He still has this year and next at a minimum. Only way I could see him getting canned next year is if we miss a regional, which is entirely possible.

EXACTLY!!!!

Cohen is a Mississippi State grad and former player who loves his university and is willing to do everything he can to help us win.

No way we could botch the baseball hire that bad, we are actually a top 10 job in America in baseball.

Cohen was a great hire at the time, he just hasn't produced like I thought he would, but he still has time to turn it around.

Why would we miss a regional next year? We are young this year and still competitive... we basically return our whole team next year. I am expecting next year to be a good one.

We will make a regional this year and could even host. A lot of baseball left to play.

Next year needs to be the do or die year for Cohen.

If we end up missing out on a regional somehow this season and then we don't make one next season either, Cohen should be gone ,bottom line!

Who knows where we'd be had we not rehired Polk in '02

Haha, we will not host a regional. The tough part of our schedule is left. We have the 3 best teams in the SEC remaining. We will make a regional barring a collapse.

Word is he's going to either Louisville or Florida State.

I don't know that UofL is going to have room for him with what's returning/coming in.

Rumor has it up here that Phil Cunningham is moving to Western Kentucky's staff and taking Hood with him.

We'll lose our best couple of pitchers in Stratton and Reed.

I don't know what Norris is gonna do yet.

We'll be depending on alot of sophmores and jr's.

We have some good young pitchers but many of them aren't getting any experience this year.

We have already played LSU and Arkansas 2 of the top 3 teams in the SEC IMO.

We should make a regional next year. We will still have no power, a lot of slap guys trying to force the action. The reason I think it might be a struggle is we lost our top 2 pitchers in Stratton and Reed. They have kept our season afloat so far and will be gone next year.

To be better next year, we need a lot of our hitters to take some step forwards, which I think Renfroe and Rea haven't even tapped into their potential yet.

Phil to WKU but the player rumored to go with him is Jalen Steele which has died down.

Jeff Goodman just tweeted that Duke and Ohio State are interested in Hood.

I have no names for you bundy but if the job became available there would be some serious interest out there you can believe that.

Like someone earlier posted, we are a top 10 baseball job.

And if Cohen was axed, the new coach wouldn't be left with near the shite storm Cohen inherited.

Recruit some solid hitters. A few more solid pitchers and we would be set.

Pitching and defense.

Wow, he would thrive at Duke. It is a shame we are losing him. He seems like a hard working kid who keeps his head down and gets the job done.
