Playing those bastards on a neutral court two days before Christmas was idiotic.

That wasn't neutral. Much more MSU Fans. State should schedule more games away from Starkville during the Holidays. 4 NC games in Starkville during the Holidays is stupid.

I can't really understand it because they have recruited well. They certainly won't win half their SEC games and will be lucky to win 6 or 7. They really aren't very good even if they are 11-1.

I had season tickets for a number of years and thought about it again next year.

I am no longer able to fly my plane after my stroke, I have to sell my plane and put those extra fun $$$ somewhere. That cash burner might as well be basketball tickets, they seem like a better investment than Bitcoin.

I live 25 minutes from campus and can make most games. They used to be fun.

Howland isn't developing them on offense very well. We are much improved on defense though. Top 15 in the country there. The offense is total shite though and the schedule is an abortion.

I hate to call the season a bust after losing a game to a top 25 program but damn. Howland seems like he is riding the wave. He doesn't have anything to prove. State needs to go after a young and fiery coach.

Howland is still a great recruiter and we are playing much better defensively. He needs to hire some stud assistants that can develop players offensively though. We are 11-1 and have another great class coming in next year. It's way too premature to be wanting another coach. It's much easier to schedule better and hire some offensive minded assistants that can teach/develop players than it is to scrap everything Howland has built up and go in a totally new direction. We add 3 very good players and maybe one more for next year and lose nobody. At some point there's going to be so much talent there's no way they can't win. That is next year. We will have something like 8 4* players and 2 5* players next year.

Rick Stansbury did better with less talent. State isn't getting better. The schedule is getting softer

State and ole miss are both about as talented as they have ever been and both look terrible. I don't get it.

Stansbury got 14 seasons. That's enough. He didn't deserve to coach MSU basketball for a quarter of a century.

Stansbury deserved to get fired but State hasn't being revelant since. They wonder why the Hump is empty, look at the product. We need to get a young energetic coach that will bring life back into the program. Mullen brought life into the football program. Hell, he even brought life back to the egg bowl. That rival was almost dead due to both schools being shitty.

Well SS went rogue and hired a mop in Rick Ray. That set us back tremendously in basketball. Howland has us headed in the right direction. Again we are top 15 in the country in defense. It's ugly basketball but we are winning while we have been in the coldest shooting slump in two decades.

That's because football is bigger than life in the south. Nobody gives a shite in Mississippi about basketball. I don't know what your game attendance is but State puts about 5-6k in seats. That slightly above half of the capacity of the Hump. What upgrades does the Hump have ? A new scoreboard and a floor? That ain't much

True but that's the same route that the football program went. Sherrill to Croom to Mullen

Howland is recruiting his arse off. We have 3 very good players joining this squad next year and we lose nobody.
