Lucrative and reliable.
The Dome seats ~71k and the SEC-CG has sold out to capacity every year since moving there except for once. (Thanks '95 Hogs)
Now of all the conferences there's only one that has had a CG for a sizable period of time that's still around; the ACC, and they rotate. Now granted, the ACC sucks in general but even given that they have never, ever sold out. Though they've been close the last two years and in 2005.
Their worst year they sold only ~27k, or around one third of the stadium's capacity.
So rotating may work but the only current example is the ACC, and yea...its the ACC.

There's fair and then there's fun.
If you expect for me to be fair to you then you're out of luck.
Go masturbate to episodes of Lassie.

The ACCCG has been a complete and utter joke since its inception. The conference itself is too spread out for a rotating model to work and the fan interest in the game just isn't there.
There's a classic picture of the game a few years back when Boston College made it in with barely a handful of people there.

Gets me every single time.

Rotating would only work, if we had a set few sites, ex, atl, no, etc. based on whose playing it could be one or the other

Oh shite I haven't seen that pic before
frick moving the game out of Atlanta. Every SEC team's goal is to make it to Atlanta, no team sets a goal to make it to Dallas, Houston, KC or whatever other city you want to move the game to.

I have to say that my one experience other than a bowl game in Georgia was utterly disappointing, and that was BEFORE UGA started losing to Boise. There were no video replays which just stunned me. They simply kept showing the same damn commercials over and over. And the whole atmosphere was just not there even before the game. I was not able to go the SECCG when UGA played in it so I have no idea if that atmosphere is a bit different.

The SECCG has been a very lucrative event while in Atlanta, and there is no sense fixing what isn't broken.
This times 1,000. I love the game in ATL.

Please just stop! Any Ag coming on this board and making suggestions about changing the SEC in any way when we are barely three weeks in the conference needs to stop. Makes us look like the arrogant sips and how they operate in the Big Whatever conference.
Keep it in Atlanta, or at least in a state that has a longer history in the SEC than July 1st, 2012.

The cotton bowl is a dump.
when was the last time you were even there?
I was at the Ticket City Bowl to see Houston wipe Penn St off the map. While old school and lacking in the bells and whistles of JerryWorld, it sure had a hell of lot better atmosphere, is easier to get to and leave from, and is in a far better location for pre/post game activities.

My feelings would not be hurt if there was a rotation between Atlanta, NOLA, and Houston. I love the game in Atlanta but whoever said it was centrally located needs to buy a fricking map.

This is why no one really wanted you in the SEC. You can't come here hoping for change. We do as we please. If you wanted to play a conference championship in Jerry's world or Reliant or where ever, you should have stayed in the Big 12 with Texas.

Also, South Carolina still feels awfully ACC-like.
They haven't been in the ACC for over 40 years now...
