Another incoherent musing from an uneducated libatard.

Why do liberals feel like a president needs to be the foremost authority on every topic and your moral compass?
I can live my own life, I dont need a president to tell me how.

Depending on state law regarding validity of liability waivers, waivers may not be valid anyway. In Louisiana, waivers in advance of negligence resulting in personal injury are invalid as a matter of statutory law. Courts in other states may find that the waivers are not valid because of unequal bargaining power. There is no real uniform approach.

As far as I know, waivers never officially take care of negligence. But they act as a barrier to elements out of the university's control (which is a broad element when discussing a pandemic).
Edit to add: it is a requirement of the insurance policy because it saves on legal fees for frivolous suits.
No insurance = no season
Can we agree on that?

Pre accident waivers, waiving negligence are valid in many states, but they are somewhat disfavored, and may be invalidated for reasons of lack of equal bargaining power, failure to adequately disclose, etc. They are often used, even when unlikely to be valid, to discourage claims or lawsuits.
I am not arguing for or against waivers, but just pointing out that it isn’t a simple matter, and that schools may not be protected against claims, even if they have required waivers. The Covid waivers are designed to discourage, if not to prevent, claims for negligent failure to take adequate precautions. But absent negligence, there would be no claims.

Like Obama being the most divisive president in history. Just a fine example.

And how many young children have died from downing this summer. What's your soultion?? Ban swimming and fill in every pool in America.
The chances of a healthy young person have drastic adverse effects from COVID are next to nil. THAT is the science. Now these crusading SJW's can suit up and play or shut up and walk.

The first half is fine, and I am pretty sure was already going to be implemented. The 2nd half is a deal breaker.
If you want to opt out you get to keep your scholarship for this year. Period. You can even keep your room and meal plan as long as it isn't the team training table. You are not allowed to any team functions. You are now just a normal student on scholarship.
