Production is the over-all process...Is it not?
I think we are splitting hairs here...Smith is one of the top 2 backs going into the SEC in 2009

Although I think the rush yards race will be between Smith and Scott, I think Bama and UF will be battling for the team rushing title(IF our O-line plays decent).

I think with LSU's stable of RB's and JJ & RS at QB, all running behind our great o-line, LSU will be either first or second in rushing this year.

Nothing behind Scott is very scary in LSU's RB stable. Not a bad assessment with JJ and RS factored in though. We shall see what happens.

it seems irrelevant now, but I think Michael Ford will end up having a huge career at LSU, and quite possibly Stevan Ridley if he gets healed up

You don't think he'll get the RS this year?

I'll take Keiland as my backup RB anytime.

RS this year?
yeah that's why I said I thought my mentioning him was irrelevant...but I do think he'll be a big time back once he does start, but I can see how it seems to "drop off" after Scott, but Keiland Williams and Richard Murphy if used right can break the big run just as well...

Would the conference leader in all-purpose yards not be the most productive?
I don't think he will do it again this year though.

Michael Smith did not lead a single statistical category in the SEC last year. Whoever said he was the "most productive" is completely full of it. Sounds like an Arkansas fan is just drinking their kool-aid, that's all.

Too bad that wasn't Mike Smith, but rather Moreno for overall yards Michael Wallace of Ole Miss for yards per game.
Where did you Hogs get this "Smith led in all purpose yards" thing? It simply isn't true.
