The waved PI call was terrible. Doucet clearly could have made a play on the ball if his arm wasn't grabbed. Doesn't matter if the ball was tipped if the interference occurred beforehand.

There was no way in hell he could have made a play on the ball. Impossible.

Might want to brush up on the rule book

Well considering multiple refs have made the same call in different games, goes along with the rule book, and hell even the ex head of nfl officiating stated that type of call was a good call, I'm not sure what's so hard to grasp.

I'd love to see the links. Because I see PI called all the time where the ball is batted down after the receiver is raped and they don't wave off the foul.

The ball was uncatchable. Same thing happened in the nfl this year, Carolina game I believe.

According to the rule book, no pi.

it happens all the time. If this was the rule it would be so simple to be a cornerback. Knock the shite out of the receiver/trip him/give him a nut punch to where he falls down, and then just make sure you touch the ball after and you are good to go

Except you would need a couple of other scenarios to come into play in order for it to be legal.

Pretty sure if this happens, they don't call PI. They haul the offender off to jail.

Regardless, the worst game I have ever seen is the UF/Arky game in 2009. Impossible to say that game wasnt fixed. Impossible

I am guessing laughter because you can't grasp the truth.

If you think the ball was catchable, I have some great stocks to show you.

Explain how he could have caught it? I mean with physics and all, it's impossible, but guessing he a teleported or something.

Why? If I knock down the receiver in the route when the ball is first in the air, and my teammate catches or touches it ten yards from where the receiver is laying on the ground, clearly it was uncatachable for the receiver ten yards away. Seems like defense should be easy

Nope but nice try.

It's funny we had this thread a while back on the msb, same retorts from y'all, then someone suggest, why don't we send this to mike pereira, then low an behold same scenario happens, mike comments that play is called correctly, then silence.

No.

What is the difference from my scenario? Interference occurred, but the ball is clearly uncatchable?
