Mizzou will be able to easily absorb the loss of DGB by counting on the other receivers within the program. People easily forget that Mizzou runs a system designed to take advantage of mismatches by using incredible size, breakaway speed and superior athleticism. These traits are what make Pinkel successful in recruiting because he is able to find players who posses these traits, and make them fit within his system. Everyone should recognize that the cupboard isn't bare at Mizzou, but in fact probably the deepest group of WR's ever at Mizzou : (Listed in order for who has the best chance to start this season)

Darius White: *****
(DGB's backup receiver 4*transfer Texas)
6'3 205 Senior
7 REC 76 YDS 1TD

Nate Brown: *****
6'2 200 True Freshman
(4* WR offers from Georgia, USCe, Vandy, Louisville, will get immediate playing time dominated Class 6 High School football in Georgia)

Bud Sasser: *********
6'2 210 Senior
26 REC 361 YDS 1TD

Jimmie Hunt: *********
6'1 215 Senior
22 REC 253 YDS 1TD

Lawrence Lee:
5'10 164 True Freshman
(4* Slot WR FL offers from UT, interest from Auburn)

DeSean Blair: ********
6'4 185 True Freshman
(4* WR FL offers from Louisville, Nebraska, Vandy)

Gavin Otte:
5'10 200 SENIOR
(walk-on coaches raving about so far this spring)

J'Mon Moore
6'3 190 Red-Shirt FR
(3*WR offers from Michigan State, Vandy)

Jason Reese:
6'5 240 Red-Shirt FRESHMAN
(Mizzou lines up tight-ends in Y Position to create mismatches, and Henson talked about getting them involved in passing game more for upcoming season)

Sean Culkin:
6'6 245 SOPHMORE
1 REC 6 YDS

J'Mon Moore
6'3 190 Red-Shirt FR
(3*WR offers from Michigan State, Vandy)

Levi Copelin:
6'2 190 SOPHMORE
3 REC 61 YDS

Thomas Richard:
6'0 181 True Freshman
(primarily recruited to land his brother in 2015 class)

Keyon Dilosa:
6'3 194 True Freshman
(High 3* WR TEX probably red-shirting)

******* = Group of players who nobody knows about, but will soon here about on 1st team ALL-SEC, 2nd Team ALL SEC, 1st TEAM ALL SEC FRESHMAN

We'll be fine at WR.

Far more worried about LB.

Texas A&M has 8 different 4 or 5 stars in our receiving corps.

Nobody knows anything about these players yet because Marcus Lucas, L'damian Washington, and DGB were all in front of them on the depth chart, but rest assured everyone in the SEC will soon know that Mizzou is a place that not only develops the best defensive lineman, QB's but also the best WR's. Seriously look at the track record of the program

QB's (Last 3QB's in NFL
Brad Smith
Chase Daniel
Blaine Gabbert
James Franklin

Future NFL Prospect:
Matty Mauk

Defensive Lineman:
C.J. Mosley
Justin Smith (Beast)
Ziggy Hood
Aldon Smith (Beast)
Sheldon Richardson (Beast)
Kony Elay (Future Beast)
Michael Sam (Future Beast)

Future NFL Prospects:
Markus Golden
Shane Ray
Harold Brantly
Josh Agusta

WR's
Justin Gage
Jeremy Maclin (beast)
Danario Alexander (beast that has bad knees)
Jerrell Jackson
William Perry

Future NFL Prospects:
Darius White
Bud Sasser
Nate Brown

I agree that we will be fine and, hopefully, great at WR. DGB would only have played one more season at Mizzou before going pro. We will never know for fact, but I think he could have been a real star for Mizzou next season. What we lose is the positive attention his future success could bring to our program. Let's hope we are done with the negative attention!

Sure everyone else has their 3*, 4*, and 5* WR's, but not all of them have the ability to create mismatches against opposing defenses.

This is the part I couldn't help but laugh at. I mean seriously, DGB was in position to have a huge year, he may have underachieved up to this point, but the talent and experience was ready to blossom. You just don't replace a guy of this caliber. Nonetheless, he is an embarrassment to Mizzou, an immature brat use to getting his way, anger controls issues etc...It was time for him to go.

More importantly for WR'S to be effective against opposing defenses they require a capable QB of getting them the ball. Going down the list everyone in the SEC seems to have a new unproven QB in the SEC

Vandy
Auburn (one dimensional)
Alabama (unproven)
Arkansas
LSU (unproven)
MSU (limited experience against inferior competition)
USCe (guy is horrible)
UF (Please start Driskel)
UGA (unproven)
Ole Miss (sucked against Mizzou defense, and can throw a good WR screen that's about it)
UT (Unproven)
Mizzou (Best situation)

Rest suck

Sammie Coates and Duke Williams are better than anyone Mizzou has at wide receiver.
